Great video Em! Wow, great training. Lots of dressage will improve the rhythm and gear control. You know she can jump, now refine it all with your dressage.

Brilliant camp! And kudos to Fred for letting you film, and wearing a mic! You can see a huge difference in Addie, she getting a bit sassy now she knows what she's doing!! 😂

I don't know if you've ever had personal training for your own fitness but you never feel like you are getting anywhere because the PT keeps upping the ante. This mare is really showing some scope and ability and you are literally having to go from one teaching issue to the next. Can feel like there is no improvement but my word she is truly getting there and the wonderful thing is that you too are learning with her. It is how we build such incredible partnerships. One thing, if she is digging holes whilst you talk I would tap her down her shoulder or tighten a rein in order to get her attention back on you. She's a mare, which mean she thinks all the time, just get her back to thinking about you. Great Tutor, great camp. Novice BE in no time.

Fred’s analogy of changing gears is fantastic and logical. Emily you’re truly a very intuitive rider, you take all of the advice onboard, stick to it and remember it! What a great video of brilliant horsemanship all round

It looks like a group session was very beneficial, more like a real event with lots of horses about. Good practice for a looky loo girly. Everything is new and exciting.

Hi Emily you and Addie did fantastic what a maturing pair you two are becoming.and Fred is a wonderful trainer I was sat on my chair riding with you lol and counting 123 123 123 🤣🤣. You’ll certainly sleep well tonight. The training you girls are getting is making you all ride so much better plus more confident.

Really interesting vlog - thank you! Justine Ward at Nar Valley Bloodhounds said something that really resonated with me “Eliminate the fiddle”. I say it to myself, intermittently with counting strides, when I jump - so much to do, so little time!

I think the crux of the xc (#2 lesson) was to teach Addie. arguing isn't going to work, and you staying consistent with your body reinforcing what is acceptable.
