Behind the scenes of Standing at the Sky's Edge

Standing at the Sky's Edge was the 2023 winner of the Olivier Award's Best New Musical.
Written as a love letter to Sheffield, this new musical has come to London - and opened with fanfare and a stream of accolades, rave reviews and critical acclaim.
We've been behind the scenes in rehearsals and also on the red carpet last night to hear all about the play.

I really detest musicals with a vengeance but, was persuaded to go to see this on a trip to London by an interview Rachel and Richard did on Channel 4 and was blown away. Maybe it's my age, having lived through the Thatchers years/miners strikes etc but, this was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. What an amazing story and the cast were just brilliant. What a brilliant ensemble and an experience that will stay with me forever.
