I remember reading this back then and almost crying.
It was an amazing story but had a sad ending. I really liked how they foreshadow the ending in both page 1 and 12.
I'll never forget the first time I read this.
I was not expecting that beginning to play into the plot twist at the end (Though looking back, the "felt like sleeping forever", others not hearing her, and Hannah not getting the letters should've been a major clue that something was awry).
The ending was quite emotional as well, even for a Goosebumps book. There was a bittersweet sense of finality and closure as well
Though when here does the letters come up? I must've missed it.
PS My guess for the fire not being put out was it likely wasn’t stirred and doused afterwards which is bad since embers can hide under the wood.
This is probably the best Goosebumps novel in the entire series. Some really powerful stuff for children's fiction...
The ending was really sad,but it is a cool story good work MR Stine
Classic Goosebumps story with an incredibly emotional ending. One of the darker and more humorless books of the series, with an ending that stays with you long after you've read it. The ending always brings tears to my eyes.
The ending is so sad. I kinda wish they played sadder music to make it more powerful.
Me too.
I also think the music at the end should've been like a harmonizing choir and a harp. I mean she saved Danny and is now returning to her family in Heaven. For a Goosebumps book, this was a very touching ending.
I think they picked this music because they might have interpreted the ending to be more bittersweet
I’ve been on a Goosebump power reading I’m like 6 books in thanks to UA-cam. 😂
The reader did a great job 👏
I watched the movie when I was in my teens and I’ve listen to this like year or two.
I saw this episode when it aired on Netflix. I cried so much at the end of it😭
Please don't read comments guys, if you hate spoilers, because the comments are full of spoilers.

Why do all of these Goosebumps audiobooks have annoying girl voices?
I assume it's because they're narratted by adults trying to sound more like children
I don't belive ghost story.
