These things are complete killers capable of surviving nuclear bombs - do the Yautja have any chance of taking them down? And why is this fight much closer than it first appears? Predators would literally observe the angels. And predators already utilize stealth. And if a little girl can exploit angels weakness then predator would eliminate the Angels in a week

She got lucky, the US army didn’t even figure it out. It’s not just loud noise, they have to find the specific frequency and that only happens through trial and error or sheer luck. Many will go down before that happens
Predators lose in every single movie because despite their high tec, stealth, and observational skills, they always get too overconfident and get themselves into traps that they should normally be able to avoid.
Oh sure, a little girl figured out and exploited the angel's weakness. Another little girl with stone age technology also killed a Predator with a bit of ingenuity and exploiting its weakness as well.
The whole thing with the Predators is that for as strong and powerful as they are to overpower humans with both their physical might and their technological superiority, they are quite easily outsmarted by some pretty simple tactics. It's why humans are considered by them to be one of the most dangerous game.
That being said, Death Angels aren't that smart. They aren't humans. They're probably closer to Xenomorphs in terms of intelligence and tactics, and Predators are experts at taking them out. So Predator probably takes it, regardless of the tough armor.
It's just...the argument of the angels being beaten by a little girl suggesting that a Predator should be able to do the same is poor reasoning, since another little girl killed a Predator too.
It's cause the writing in a quiet place is garbage just like in prey lmao. Prey sucked ass.

The problem is that the physiology of the Death Angels has been absolutely ripped apart a hundred times for not making sense. There’s precisely zero chance humanity would lose to these animals. Their armor is a half inch thick at most and isn’t stopping .50 caliber rounds or tank mortars lol. Realistically the Yautja would LOVE fighting these things.

from what i recall. yautja get stronger over generations depending on what they regularly hunt.
unless its a scenario where all yautja get wiped out. more than likely they can get strong enough to hunt powerful creatures.

Even high velocity fire arms we already have as humans exceed this though not common used by anyone but small game hunters.
A small calibre swift .220 exceeds 4000feet per second which is 2727+ MPH.
Even standard high velocity rifle rounds 55 grain 5.56 bullet reaches 3100 to 3300 feet per second depending on various factors which is more then ample at roughly 2113MPH.
I will say with 5.56 high velocity round then a soldier would have to make the shot in 1 go.
Accuracy of an average infantryman in combat situations is roughly 25 to 35% in present day battle fields but with instruction a 40% to 50% is plausible with equipment for the role & basic training.
My proficiency last I did a standard marksmen's test about a decade ago was 93.1% but my eyes are not what they use to be.
I think a 75% to 80% accuracy in my present state is possible for perspective.
I hunted since 5 for comparison to see that such precision is not the norm.
Unlike most I trained on small game with low calibre rounds for a personal challenge.
Hitting pigeons in mid flight with an air rifle is something I achieved fairly consistently which most use a 20 gauge shotgun.
If not precision then give everyone a high velocity shotgun as High-velocity 12-gauge ammo reaches 1,300 FPS=886mph.
This would be a far more reliable method!
Consider me a tad radio rental but I'd enjoy the challenge of an alien in a hunt as may the best predator win.
We humans till recent were Persistence predators which I still am though a few grey hair have taken me from my prime; I am still rather capable!

After that it depends: if the predators decide to exterminate them, the angels are toast as predators will have an easy time luring them with sound-making devices before blasting them with the high frequency they are vulnerable to. But if they decide they are worthy prey they may send in predators without the high pitch trick available to them (as that would be too easy), and then the predator would need to learn how to be real quiet, lure an angel to willingly open its face plates, and then manage to strike a killing blow without making a noise that would alert the angel and make it close its plates. Doable, but not easy and one mistake would make for a dead predator.
This is incredibly easy to answer. The first Predators to meet the Death Angels will get destroyed. After some time they’ll learn their weakness and wipe them out

Doesn't make sence, how can they survive a nuclear bomb if their weakness is noise. A nuke is not silent, the nuke going off would create a lot of frequencies at very high amplitudes as the Shockwave collides with different materials. I think what we are witnessing is an actual artistic depiction of plot armour.

Their biology is poorly thought out. You really expect me to believe that the weapons of humanity (high caliber rounds, tanks, missiles, bombs) are useless against a half-inch of organic armor? A tank shot alone would realistically blow these things into a thousand pieces.

Also thermobaric weapons, like used to clean out bunkers, would destroy them. The whole thing of them surviving explosions and bombs is stupid 🤷♂️

Did you know there are specific sounds that can cause harm than others
For example, humans are extremely susceptible to low frequency sounds, to the point it can rupture organs, but it has to be a very specific frequencys.
Just so happens the Death angels have the same weakness but on the opposite side of the spectrum. So the girl from A Quiet Place litterally found the 1 in a billion frequency that would cripple death angel

Just read it in this comment section that predators are basically alien Batmans that can beat anything with preparation time, which I think is so true. But in a first encounter with 1 vs 1 a predator would have seconds before it gets killed.

I was thinking along those lines. He assumes the Predators weapons (particularly the metals) are comparable to what we have on earth. The Predators could have something that could slice right through the death angel's armor.

Considering how smart and cunning Predators can be, I don't know about death angels winning. For one, the only way the death angels would hear the predators is if they predators would actually want to be heard, they are just that good at not making a noise.
Death Angels can amp up their hearing to hear the heart beat of the Yutja, so the Yutja can't utilize stealth forever...just that when the Death Angel exposes its inner drums, that's when the Yutja would strike, instantly killing the Death Angel.

He did but he also said the hunt is what matters to the predators. Predators love a challenge and if their opponents are just sitting there begging for mercy because of some loud noises, it takes away from a good hunt. The Death Angels has no other combat skill but to armor up and one shoting humans. Hand to hand, the Predators will lose. Using sound frequencies in the battle will make the fight very boring for the predators because shooting gets boring to them. They love ripping the spines out after a good fight. But how can one have a good fight where you end up losing too early or winning too easily? It's not a good match up at all.

Let's face it, the Death Angels are animals, acting on instinct and the Predators are hunters; sentient, cunning and guile. This is not an even match; it's a turkey shoot.
The Predators race should make a sonic weapon very fast and with perfect results. Another drastic measure against them: remove the atmosphere.
The Predators tech edge is god level. They would see these creatures as invasive weeds, not a good hunt, and eradicate them.

Engineers being the only one above them and even that is at this point probably mostly a technological advantage. Because Predators like the Xenomorph evolve quite rapidly physically. They might soon catch up to the Engineers in terms of physicality very soon. And on the hunt the Elites are pretty much Batman level of genius.

the big problem with the quiet place monsters in that their stated durability doesn't really match up with the showings in the movies. Overall I feel like they're just a mess to have in vs battles because we either have to accept they have like... planetary destruction level durability with their armor AND insides strong enough to withstand any force that gets through that armor like shockwaves but also their insides are weak enough to fall to basic shotguns. Also their ears are unharmed with the sound of a literal planet exploding and the meteorites they fell in on EXPLODING and shit but hearing aids, especially when their noise is amplified, are enough to totally cripple them?
This is fine for the sake of just "don't think about it" type entertainment but for any kind of powerscaling it's a nightmare.

The Predator wins easily. If little weak women can defeat the Death Angel, then Predators will literally annihilate the Death Angel species. In fact, the Predators will dominate the Death Angels so easily and quickly, that they will use them to train their young Predators.

One on one this fight isn't close at all, and the predator takes it no problem unless its a rookie or freshly blooded hunter. Just like the Xenomorphs, predators are extremely smart and calculated while death angels are 100% reactive and clumsy. Once the recon of the predator shows that it has to open it satellite dish head to hear and hunt based on incoming sounds it will use that to its advantage. And if it figures out they can't swim it will look use that to its advantage as well.
The movies make the death angel hearing seem like an almost perfect hunting tool, but in a city or forest area, there are so many things that make noise that were not addressed in the movies.
The amount of insects, birds, and small animals that would cloud the "vision" of the death angels with all the noise they make puts a real handicap on its hearing. And if it's a cave echos can be very deceptive on where they actually come from.

Does nobody realize how loud the detonation of a 2000 lb bomb is? They're so incredibly loud these creatures would have no choice but to open their ear things and get vaporized. So maybe the sound has to be at a very specific frequency to affect them? The US military has been equipped with variable frequency Sonic weapons for decades. We are far more intelligent than them and actually use tactics while fighting. There's very little chance they could defeat humans or predators long-term. If they can be immobilized buy some hearing aids or set earbuds they're dead meat. All the hillbillies in the US with CBs in their rig, shotguns and deer rifles. They're already equipped to go to town. If hillbillies have the weapons to defeat them I'm sure the predators do.

This is an actual thing with sound based weapons. Most of them are equipped for low frequency noises as for some reason people seem to melt at lower frequency sounds and are fine against high pitched noises.

A Darkblade Clan Predator would make very interesting work of the death angels by using it's technology to decoy sounds in various areas to distract them. The Predator would also copy and paste the frequency sound of that deaf girls hearing aid to have in the back pocket in case it gets over run by other death angels. Yeah hand to hand combat with a Predator and Death Angel would certain be short lived for the predator because the Angels are stronger and more durable than the Xenomorphs (even their queens), but the bezzerkers or wolf would probably put up more of a fight than some new young blooded predators. The Feral predator from Prey is most certainly getting spliffed in under 5 minutes with as much noise as he makes trying to prove himself.
Predator has this in the bag, we have to assume the predator is new to the hunt, rash, and has never heard of the death angels. Whereas it’s proven that the predator species has hunted many things across the universe far longer than humans have been around
If humans figure stuff out day one, the Predators will figure it out in minuets. They will come prepared with mother ship in tow. No contest. Predators!

This i think is pretty much a easy conclusion. At first the death angels would wipe the floor with predators but over time and studying them and knowing their weakness the predator would create devices that cripple them and its gunna be pretty easy for the predator to beat them.

I think you're seriously underestimating a Predator. Humans are the Apex hunters, not cause we're the biggest or the strongest, its cause of our intelligence. That separates us between all life forms. Theres a big difference between the intelligence of a Xenomorph (which you had losing) and the intelligence of a Predator.

even if a particularly inexperienced Predator immediately went in guns blazing it would immediately realize it’s guns are doing nothing and fall back to observe a weakness which it would immediately find when the Death Angel opens its face to hear from there it’d just take a single well placed shot.
There are two major aspects here:
1 - Does death-angel durability trump Predator offense? Because we've seen repeatedly that Predators are using alloys and elements to make unbelievably sharp, hard, and penetrating weapons. Plus, Predators are physically very, very strong as well -- durable, too! In the movies, they'd get shot _WITHOUT ARMOR_ with close range 12-gauge, and it angered them. In at least two of the movies it was only when the Predator's own weaponry was turn against it that the human was able to win. That disc cut through damn near everything, for example. So would it pierce a death-angel?
2 - Intelligence. The death angels seem to be a very simple "zombie" algorithm, similar to a video game. Detect external stimuli, attack external stimuli. Repeat. The Predators had a simple motivation as well, but they were very much more varied in how they approached that objective, and the combination of patience and cunning made Predators much more dangerous than just "durable" and "lethal" would've done on their own.
My money says that the Predators have this. In any one-on-one confrontation, the death-angel might win - particularly if this is the first time that either entity has come across the other. But if the death-angel doesn't win nearly immediately, then the fight goes to the Predator. In a hunting situation, the Predator takes this 99.99% of the time -- that's 1-in-10,000 odds for the death-angel to be victorious, and nearly a certain victory for the Predator.
Predator would win hands down. The Tec alone is way too deadly.
remember the tv show Primeval? They have a similar creature as the death angels, it is smart, fast and have super hearing. They hear even better than death angels, since they see even a person's heart beat. Yautja are like superhumans. They think and calculate. Younger predators would lose but smarter, better experience predators considered this as Tuesday or Wednesday. They are calculating and strategic.
I think people forget the Predators use high tech devices that mimic sound and voices. I’d imagine they’d use that as more of a combative tool than psychological tool in regard to the Death Angels. That being said, they absolutely have a decent chance to catch Youngbloods off guard. The Yaujta would probably only use elite level predators to combat Death Angels.
I would like to think that the predators would quickly learn the weakness, and from thereon out it would essentially only be a training excersize for new predators in making them learn how to use the sound weapon.
Predator turns on its intergalactic boom box on full volume exploiting the death angels weakness to loud noises or frequencies and farms the angel species indefinitely.
The Predator is just basically the alien Batman.

Most of the Yautja depicted in movies are as thick as mince and are generally off killed by plot armour. While I accept experience plays a huge part, the main aspect that sets the Yautja apart from the adaeth Angel is intelligence. They wouldn’t fight this without knowledge of their prey. Once they know their enemy, the Yautja’s technological prowess, intelligence and weaponry would consign the Death Angels to extinction.
Adding to my last point
If the Predator did not think the fight was faire it would not even bother.
So while it might not use the modulator to create the sound to cripple the DA, it has enough other tech on its person, to make very quick work of the DA
Much like adjusting the thermal vision in Predator 2 it would be funny if a Predator just dialed sonic blast mode into his shoulder cannon.

Predators are technologically advanced beings and warriors. Death angels are basically wild animals with hard skin. The only time this is a close fight is early on, when they first meet the death angels. After that, the Predators would start merkng them easily with their weaponry.
Yeah, random encounters would most likely go to a Death Angel, but a long term engagement goes to the Predators!!

They do, and can even pinpoint somewhere that want the sound to appear to be coming from, doesn't need to be centred on themselves.
The Predator may not take advantage of the Sonic Noise Weakness of the death angels due to their code of honor.
