biggest drummer of all time...
happy 70 years old tommy🤘🏻
70 years old .. Let that sink in for a second. .
And, he’s looked 70 for the last 40 years. He is a beast.
healthy life good jeans
No surprise he has been exercising his whole life drumming since young
Unbelievable. He’s always had that lean and fit build. I would love to know his exercise regimen, besides drumming.
@@daddyyotv3832 200% agree. Drumming keeps you sane, fit and full of energy :)
the man literally played all through the history of rock with everybody who is and was somebody. I cannot believe how good he is, nobody can. a living legend by all means of that word. I think legend defines itself by having relations to tommy f'king aldridge. thank you mr aldridge. from all of us. thank you from the bottom of our hearts. nobody else like you...
VERY WELL PUT. FACTS!!!!
Cheers! 🌮🍻
70 years ...What a power!!!! Strong, precision, time, Grove...This is beast! 100 years Tommy!!!!
He is probably my biggest influence on drums. I had to rewatch and relisten a lot of work that he has put up, to finally realise how much I took from Tommy. Truly one of best to ever do it.
Always 110 % from Tommy. Huge respect for this man !
Tommy is a rock drumming legend ! ALL rock drummers in the world, have nothing but mad respect for him! Been listening to him for probably 40+ years!
I never get tired of watching tommy play and he never seems to get tired of playing!! Total Legend.......
word!
Me too. And that tasteful signature bass drum lick at 4:53 to end it! Nice!
Insane good. Living legend, he just keeps getting better.
Saw this man lighting up the famous red double bass Yamaha kit in 1987 when Whitesnake opened for Motley Crue on the Girls tour. I was a kid and seeing Tommy Aldridge and Tommy Lee on that tour was pretty insane. Years later I can honestly say that Aldridge was the technician and Lee was the showman. Tommy Aldridge is the kind of rock drummer I prefer to emulate. A true legend!
I seen that same concert Pittsburgh civic arena he was incredible
Huge fan of both and I can’t imagine getting to see those both live. Very similar drummers: Aldridge being the better one but they I don’t think Tommy would have been the same If there was no Aldridge.
Saw the same show, it was great
Saw his drum clinic, mid 1980s. He walks out, sits down on a strange kit, pedals unlike the ones that he used, and did his signature solo perfectly. Total professional.
School's in session, pay attention, rock and roll broke the mold when they made him won't be another like him. There will be clone's of his style but only one Tommy.🐐👏
I could watch him play a straight 4/4 beat for an hour, and not get tired of it. Definition of power. No embellishments, no unnecessary fills, just sheer power.
yeah!!!
Methuselah of drumming ,amazing man!
Rock legend! Saw him in 1989 with Whitesnake. At Red Rocks in Colorado. Put on one of the the best solos I've seen. Did it in the pouring rain! Awesome. Dude's still a beast.
And that hair, my god the hair! Tommy is blessed with great talent and good genes!
Precision and violence.Tommy is one of my all time favorite drummers.Still playing at a high levelHe commands attention!!AMAZING!
I've seen Tommy with 2 different bands, loud and live. I'm a forever fan.
My Idle, my mentor, and my biggest and most profound influence. My master TOMMY ALLERGIE .LOVE and Admirer him....I learn from his amazing technic every time.....😊
His hits in slip of the tongue are special and enjoyable to hear..fits with the entire album
This video is great. You can really see how loose he’s actually playing. There’s crazy power but all the energy is coming from stick velocity. He’s gripping the sticks only tight enough to keep them from slipping out of his hands. Those big snare hits are being deflected and the cymbal crashes are finessed. That’s the secret to his longevity. That and being from another planet. Keep it up Tommy!
Everytime he came to Birmingham, i saw him, since 1980. Im in Dublin now and same goes - this man is a legend bar none
Saw Tommy with BOA in the early 70s in a small fieldhouse and I've been a fan ever since!!
his use of cymbals is unique to me
badass drummer badass
sitting for a moment watching this great drummer!!1
Wht a class for 70year old, unbelievable. Have a good health ahead.
Late 70's I got to see Pat Travers, The Babys and Rush in Freedom Hall Johnson City, Tn. Tommy and Neil on the same night... Helluva show..
The man is a sledge hammer, the one and only Tommy!
One of the best. Always loved the drums in whitesnake
Just watching Tommy... glide along all those bells....such dynamics for a monster of a drummer....
He's the 1st pro drummer I ever saw. 1979. Pat Travers opening for Rush. 14 years old. I missed Neil Peart's significance during that show.
Tommy gives an amazing foundation towards the front runners/front man Dave to work with. Very balanced double bass drummer. Extremely consistent/69 years of age and still delivers like when he was a kid.
So glad I had an opportunity to see Tommy play several times with different bands. By far my favorite drummer. Rock on Tommy
The Master , The Sound, The Power & The Glory. Tommy Aldridge. 💎🤘👍👍🙏🙏🙏
A legend! I learned this whole album on drums when I was 13-14. It was a lesson in tasty slick heavy licks they stayed tight with the song. There are little nuances that the average listener doesn’t hear. All they hear is bass and snare drum. Tommy is a powerhouse with finesse. In the context of a song, it’s not a place to use every possible drum solo lick in your arsenal. This is methodical and musical.
A craftsman at his work is always a beautiful sight.
I can only pray that I will be active like that at 70 years old.
You still make it look easy.
Thank you Sir.
One of the greatest drummers ever.
Still killing it! Love Tommy’s playing!
Word!
I used to play drums and my inspiration was Tommy Aldridge and Brian Downey. Always be drum legends to me.
Hasn’t lost a step, the man is an absolute beast! You would think at his age his arms and legs would have fallen off with the force he hits the skins with. Keep rocking Tommy!
Can't believe this dude hasn't serious carpal tunnel pain, must have titanium wrists!
LEGEND!
The KASHMIR of the Whitesnake saga. The unique inflections on the beat after DC sings "On the road to Judgement Day..." Tommy Aldridge is a true legend.
One of my favorite songs. Brilliant to see him play through it.
This is the master of master. His tone is unbeatable.
SO MANY ENERGIE IN THIS ROCK MONSTER !! LONG LIFE FOR YOU MASTER !!
Amazing drummer. An inspiration.
His double bass work w Pat Travers blew me away back in high school...nobody played DB like that back then...he is LEGEND...to play that hard for so long is insane....he makes Tom Brady seem average!
Tommy Aldridge one of the best of all time !!!!
Tommy Aldridge On Of The Very Best!
A legend through and through!
He so good 👍. So dedicated. Powerful .those paiste sound amazing too
The legend!!
The man is a legend. Just like a wine.
True Godfather of Rock Drumming!
absolute beast!
Easin around and bumped into this, Tommy is a gem!
OMG WHAT A DRUMMER! He has closed eyes entire time! Just WOW!
You amaze me with the fact you still play like you are doing at your age!!! Amazing and inspirational! Always have loved your playing and from what I know from your videos, you as a great person and motivation from God, in my opinion! Thank you Tommy!
Mr. Tommy Aldridge, the Master of Precision..
A man and his craft🍻
Yeah!
I’ve played drums for over 40 years and play in a radically different Genre than Tommy but I love watching him,, he does exactly what needs to be done with so much drive and gets in some nice little flourishes here and there--Just a great old pro who’s deep in it.
Well said!
I pity that poor snare !!
agreed.agreed.
@@MalcaratMartinez + Im in no hurry to become his hi hats, either!!!!!!
@@h96pro32 Ah yep. Notice how most of the song is just the most simple 1/4 beat. That's all it needs. That's all he plays. We all KNOW he can destroy that kit. But that wouldn't be right for that moment in that song. Similar to another Whitesnake song, Only My Soul. All the drummer plays during the solo is 1/4 and it's VERY powerful.
Tommy is a drumming machine, saw him on a hot licks vhs tape,I was hooked ever since.🤘🤘🤘🤘
Master Tommy thank you for the great drumming all these years . Paistes sound amazing btw .
Love the way Tommy Plays. Fucking looking great sounding awesome as usual.
to play this good at his age is amazing..
yeah, isn´t it? !!!
I played for a few years and I caught Tommy at a drum clinic here in Vegas. He’s a hard hitter still has it 😊
I remember seeing Tommy Aldridge for the first time on the crash and burn tour with Pat Travers I was amazed on the intro to that song and among many great power style
An absolute legend...
I love how effective he plays a simple beat!! So much power!
A Living Legend Tommy A. Is!😊Been There,Done That He Has/Could Watch Him Play “Allday”The “Top Gun” Of The Drums,Period.😊

Since 1986 he has been my biggest influence in modern rock drumming, he is my Idle, my mentor and my master of Double Bass Hard Rock Heavy Metal Druming. I'm his follower and his long term fan. To me he is the best I have ever seen or heard. He is the legend of our time. From From a true fan. To Tommy Aldridge. 🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👍👍👍
Man is a monster ,blows my brains out im the same age as Tommy and gives me inspiration ❤
The man is shaking the ground when playing....no tricks, just pure rock drumming.Greatest ever!
maestro.continual inspiration. Tommy Aldridge is the best.
The epitome of a session player for the last 40+ years.
I saw this legend play back in '87 and he's hitting those drums harder than ever. New drummers take note, this is the guy you want to study.
talk about rolling thunder! love it when they film the feet hitting the double bass. love this song.
Met Tommy when he was with 'Black Oak'...Minot, ND, early 70's. Not only is he a legend, that I've followed through the years, but a total gentleman. His wife is a very lucky woman.
I've been a fan of this man since the 70's. I started playing in 1968, still play but just for me right now and not looking too hard to find another band. Tommy is a human metronome and his double bass speed is epic. Lots of newer metal drummers could take some pointers.
TOMMY : You Are A Virtuoso and Composer Extrordinaire...Bam Bam BAM !!! BAM!! Last Forever Dude !
Always with conviction...
Still rocking hard at 70, he'll probably still be rocking this hard when he's 100.
Legend!
I saw these guy here in Brazil in 2011, 2016 and 2019 at Rockfest (São Paulo) and also Rock’n Rio... HE’S A REAL BEAST playing drums, the heart of the band. \,,/
