  • Built a custom single 3" mandrel bent exhaust. Running stock headers and secondary pipes into the merger. Just customised the merger to go from 2" to 3" then a resonator straight through to the rear RSType muffler.

    I got the same exhaust for my 2.8l love the sound of it

      She's certainly a throaty roar...very raspy at full throttle though but loosing the 15kg's over the stock exhaust is worth it.

    Fantastic sound dude. What size resonator are you running?

    • @DomsE36Garage
      @DomsE36Garage  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks! It's a 3" straight through resonator. Roughly 300mm long, just from a local exhaust shop for memory.

      Sweet ill keep that in mind. Unfortunately previous owner left mine straight piped and its unbearable. Looking for good sounding setups to replicate. Thanks for your help!!

      @@adrianlara777 yeah resonator and muffler will get it sounding like mine I reckon

    Sounds good. Just me or do single exhausts in the 2,50 - 3 inch range have less of the (to me) undesireable tinny rasp sounds that can be hard to get rid of even with resonators?

    • @DomsE36Garage
      @DomsE36Garage  3 роки тому

      Cheers mate. Yeah, it definitely has less rasp than other exhausts but at high revs it can't hold them back entirely haha. But it's by no means obnoxious though like some can be

    Is RSType muffler a brand? Cant find it anywhere. Trying to replicate this exhaust

      If you google "RS Type Muffler" you'll see they are some sort of chinese brand generic muffler. They possibly come under some other name these days, so just find a generic stainless straight through muffler with 3" inlet and whatever tips you like, and it should sound pretty much the same. Important to note that I run just a bullet style resonator too which helps achieve that tone.

      janker93 I run BC BR coilovers. Also plenty of other suspension mods to make the car handle.

    What does RS type muffler mean?

    • @DomsE36Garage
      @DomsE36Garage  4 роки тому +1

      It's just the brand name on the muffler. I assume it's a generic off the shelf or eBay item. Pretty much a straight through 3" muffler, nothing special.

      It's custom built mate from 3" pipe. You can build the same one with just a 3" resonator and 3" straight through muffler. Just use the existing headers and merger pipe to merge the two pipes into a single 3"

    • @DomsE36Garage
      @DomsE36Garage  6 років тому

      Robin Calén i dont unfortunately, but i started at the end of the 2.25" merger and went to a single 3" from there. Need roughly 2 meters of pipe, plus hotdog, muffler and a couple of bends
