- Messing around in Skyrim and found out a way to penetrate the restriction barriers of Sovngarde. I this video i just explored a fraction of what can be seen, i challenge you to discover the rest for yourself.
NOTE: I'm NOT using any form of manipulation on the game files, so this should work out on console. If i'm wrong feel free to correct me.
And oh yea...My dyslexia is well proven in this video. Enjoy.
So is this the famous cloud district that I have been hearing about?
The cloud district is actually where Dragonsreach is, Nazeem basically considers the dragonborn trash because he works with the Jarl and owns a farm in Whiterun
amelia nightwolf Humor is not strong with this one...
+Walrus Studios it is, yes, but it's just that I like providing people with information all the time
Aye
oh what am I saying of course you don't.
You stumbled into a land where up is down and down is sideways and sideways is nowhere, where the laws of space and time have been shuffled like a deck of cards. Welcome to New Jersey.
Xd
On planet Bullshit.
+Whakamol And the soul cairn is Detroit. Trust me I live 20 minutes from Detroit. Their both exactly the same place. Pitch black skies, wandering lost souls. Yup same place.
+Whakamol xD
I fucking hate New Jersey. It sucks I live there since I can't get 1 single job. Probably because the people are such pricks.
You don't waste time, this video came out 12 days after Skyrim was released lol
yes they do they just wasted my time

So, I read the comments, and... somebody... No, EVERYONE seemed to missed that this man just died. IN SOVNGARDE.
...WTF happens THEN???
+Mike Shaver-Miller He respawns in Fallout 4.
+Wisconsinwhiskey XD
he goes to his realm in oblivion
+Mike Shaver-Miller He probably ends up deader than dead or just reincarnates. The lore's really unclear if Sovngarde is part of the Dreamsleeve or not.
+Mike Shaver-Miller sovngarde 2
glitch valley looks beautiful
TheArnoldification nah it looks weird and ugly.
"You've just entered the realm of the Void... boring isn't it. Its so vast, yet empty... That is why I created life and you all. Because eternity was just too boring and plain for me alone."
-Written by Sithis, and dedicated to the Fallen Gods of Atherious and the Banished Princes of Oblivion.
Sithis created life?
Baires 456 yes and no he created the ones who created life so sithis made everything in a way
theredhoodedboss anu made 12 realms and lorkhan reshape the remains of those realms into nirn because it was destroyed by padomay/sithis for his jealousy towards anu
By the name of Talos.... YOU HAVE FOUND OBLIVION!!!
And Nazeem says you haven't been to the cloud district, eh?
"Do you get to the dimension where time and space are on crack very often? Oh, what am I saying, of course you don't."
Respawns at the Quicksave and smashes his computer, goes outside looking for real-life glitches and gets disappointed.
Then says the graphics are terrible.
Dr Wabble Chops takes LSD
+abirneji I did MAN everything is gliched, I even fell trough ground and came out of dragons ass.
Lmao there are plenty of glitches IRL. Kim Kardashian makes 5x as much annually as the commander in chief of the greatest army the world has ever known.
The Stupendous Parrot I agree. Theres a lot of glitches here.
That flat desert place is where the run of the mill nords go. You can probably find Hod and Alvor there. R.I.P. Hod was killed by a dragon and Alvor by a vampire.
I can't bear to watch Alvor die. One time he was killed by a dragon and his daughter came over to his body and screamed in grief, I loaded my last save immediately.
And that's why I live alone in Illinalta, because I don't want to bring any danger for those good peoples
i killed both of them 💀
While i was watching the vid, the chair i was sitting in broke apart beneath me. Let's just say that i shit my pants instantly. Damn.
+Milos Stojcic The world of South Sovngarde, the broken world, came into yours, and destroyed your chair.
+Wisconsinwhiskey lmao made ma' day
+Milos Stojcic I died.
Wow... The black gates of mordor are here lol
Imagine if you just got to the very end and saw maiq the liar
Yeah that would be funny
Wait that was me lol
xDDDDD
kid: mommy where do people go when they die in sovngarde
mother: dont ever speak of that child dont *cries because the dragonborn was husband and adopted a child*
Your body will forever lie in the mists of sovenguard forever.
I think you found limbo, you just needed to wait for a train
Whats that a reference to?
The movie Inception
well, looks like you've found a new plane of Oblivion! :D
But seriously, what the heck. It's Elswyer all over again XD
+diverted paths actually would be Aetherius, Sovengarde is in Aetherius as well i believe, is the plane beyond Oblivion's boundaries where the souls of all things goes unless when it isn't soultrapped...
Rodolfo Alvim
ooooh that makes sense XD thanks!
Or probably unknowingly stepped into TES VI.
eh sows to know what u talking about well then answer this in the creation of skyrim how was the sun and stars deadra and gods whatever created (come on im giving u an easy 1)
thedarkgamings
Don't care kiddo, we don't care. lol
actually sovnguard is an experimental map where they basically fucked around till they finally done something
please show me where your info came from
The would of had a tight budget and put sovnguard on top
_"Welcome to South Sovngarde, where the gods gave not a single shit of how horrid and enamored the land and its people appeared to them..."_
- *Ysgramor to the heroes of the Hall of Valor upon reaching the eldritch cliffs of South Sovngarde*
There's actually a way easier and WAY shorter way to get there. Go straight to the Hall Of Valor, but stop at the bony bridge. From there, slowly descend down into the river. Then, swim straight right of the waterway, and stay in that direction. From then on, keep swimming straight, and in little than 5-10min, you'll quickly reach the island! You're welcome, imperials!
.
.
.
Congratulations! You broke the game...
Why's there a landscape there? And the black gates of mordor?
I think that it's the background of the whole Sovngarde.
"Plays Skyrim - Spends time finding exploits"
Sounds about like me in Skyrim and Fallout. I enjoy finding glitches, bugs, and exploits in Bethesda games for some reason. Like, I spent ages exploring once I found out how to jump over the Whiterun wall and end up in the low-detail world. Went over to Oblivion's area and found the tower and whatnot. Was fun. I've also used a book-dupping glitch to get an extra copy of some one-of-a-kind quest book since I'd have to turn it in and lose it once I was done. I was all into collecting books, and I didn't want to lose it.
As long as it's not game-breaking, causing crashes and keeping me from finishing things, then I don't mind bugs. I actually enjoy them. Even things like infinite money glitches. It's not hurting anyone being there, so why not. If someone wants to glitch themselves infinite money, let 'em.
But you don't need to break Buggesda games. They break themselves.
Wouldn't mind having an infinite money glitch in real life... Cool!
But people start to use glitches in online games afterwards wich is sad and annoying
"You're off the edge of the map mate....here there be monsters!"
Dang, vast open map with almost nothing to do but walk for hours...Add a couple of 2d trees and you got yourself Daggerfall
it's kinda reminds me of interstellar
I was thinking the same thing! Just watched the movie again a few days ago.
ikr !
@@rangeispow Me too haha XD just searched for that comment
this is hell in skyrim under sovengaurd
And here the algorithm brings me... Sovngarde
If you could bring one book with you to read in a land where space and time have spun on their heads, what would you bring?
I would bring my copy of The Lusty Argonian Maid.
This is just like WoW used to be before Cataclysm. It's glorious!
lol imagine getting stuck here for all eternity.
QuangTran27 sounds like a lot of fun
Well u can, its a glitch so theres no way back unless u go back to a different save befor eu enter the glitch
4:44 died in sovngarde, makes f**king sense...
Called fucking buddy:-D
He has reached the Far Lands
This is almost like a Lovecraftian horror story, cyclopean geometry and suicide to boot.
3:00 he drops a spicy ass meme. Tight mah nijo
How to destroy the game
at 2:50 That's a face
Where? I don't see it.
DarknessIsTheTruth. maybe you lost your imagination
No, maybe your lying and cant point it out properly.
cool ray how would i point it out you want me to some how physically show you?
cool ray I'll explain it best as i can the middle of the two pools of water is a nose
i once held the analog stick in place with a hair elastic to make myself continue walking forward when i was there... if u look far in the distance, there are more towers, and it takes hours and hours to get there. i left myself walking overnight and walked so far that sovngarde disappeared in the distance. then i walked all the way back. i dont think it ever ends.
internet tough guy its how the gamebryo engine works. when you reach the edge of the "map" it continues to repeat flat blank tiles for you to go into.
I found this long ago. You can get all the way to Whiterun by running up the hill to the right of the entrance, exiting through the small hole at the top of the ridge, then going left to the ocean once you make it across to the next mountain range. Swim all the way out to the ocean to the very bottom of the playable map, until you glitch into the sky on some sort of weird sky tile that is clear and square. Then use the invisible squares that float above the water to run all the way west till you are at the center of the map. Coincidentally when running on the invisible squares, if you fall in the water you will reset to the top of the playable game area. Whiterun is merely a collection of lit up night time windows on the PS3, and is floating inside the ocean next to a large black tower that you can get to the top of by going underneath, then glitching to the top. Just keep checking your map as it still works and you should have no trouble getting around. I also wanted to challenge everyone in the game who kept telling me I could only enter or leave on the dragon and this is how I originally found it, lol.
What am I looking at at 1:30
+Farmerjoe999888777 A floating island.
So, Sovngard and Hammerfell are the same thing?
Who knows, keep walking and youll reach Oblivion
One does not simply die in sovngarde
Woah the creators really went far with this landscape to make sure you have something to see even if you pass the barrier.
Sovngarde is the best thing in this whole matter. The background music, the atmosphere, the views, the decoration. The whole thing is just wonderful.
so the dovakiin is actually the ozakkiin (goat born)
It looks like Hammerfell but it cant be...
Design test for ES VI
Massive Plot Twist: You were dead the entire game of hammerfell because its actually in sovngarde
Thatd be the best subplot in the Elder Scrolls series...ever...
Poor maltub3. You're playing on the PC and you don't know the tcl command.
Using it would've saved you hours of work XD
Real explorers don't use cheats
nofearofwater They're not "cheats", they're console commands.
gsurfer04 God mode isn't a cheat? get over yourself.
nofearofwater tgm has perfectly legitimate uses.
nofearofwater
Bro its console commands used by the creators
For those who attempt or have attempted this and fail/failed, I just want to point out that this was fixed in one of the DLCs, Dragonborn I believe.
So this is the end of the world in Skyrim that I've been hearing about
If anyone was wondering, the reason they put this in is so that on the map you would see some terrain outside of the parts where you're supposed to go. Because otherwise you'd just see a floating island on the map. And they were bored.
Just goes to show you, skyrim is so great they even added stuff to areas players are forbidden to go to.
i did this a while ago, but stayed in the water. its weird. The black towers are insubstantial completely. But there seem to be several "walls" surrounding everything I know I found at least three layers of them.
Still not as fun as Morrowind though. Its ocean went on forever, every other cell spawning a massive amount of dreugh or slaughterjerkfish
If u go all the way south to cyrodill u can see the dirt is in same shape as it was in oblivion and u can even see the white gold tower
+RP blue You can see three gray-ish pillars making up white-gold tower. But if you get too close to them they disaappear. just long distance textures. is still neat though.
I remember zones like this in games. I like how in wow every once in a while you get the one huge piece of land that is fully textured and you are like WTF is going on.
Imagine seeing a lurker there from a distance, feeding on a corpse. I would have crapped in my pants.
Okay, it's really hard to explain, basically it's a way of saving the game without having to go through the saving screen, which as you know, is what we must do on consoles. " Quicksaving " is only something you can do on PC.
Hope this helps.
So that is the place that Gandalf told Pippin about. You know, the long-shores-after-death
I love this type of stuff. I've always been fascinated with what lies beyond the map's boundaries in a game.
Wow. I went off the edge of the map to the south. You eventually run into the edge of the map and fall into the ocean, where you can swim for forever beneath the mountains of glass but never actually get back onto land. It just turns into glass when you get close, and you go under it. I wonder why all that land is there?
That would actually make for one epic easter egg. "You took the effort to circumvent the game physics and go into areas that most would assume to be out of boundaries so here's a chest with a ridiculously powerful armor/weapon as your prize."
I never seen such obsession since the GTA3's search of the Ghost Town. Getting there was like an achievement in itself.
how do you climb mountains? I tried it but it doesn't work. It only works when I'm on a horse.
I followed the coast around to the north east and ended up finding a large bay, eventually I managed to loop round the mountains and reached the pass leading to Riften. Pretty desolate area
1:18 wow look at that ocean! No wonder it gets laggy :o
2:07 maybe you reached Elsweyr :p
2:54 lol
4:06 welcome to Sheogorath's domain
4:22 madness
4:37 Noooooo D:
👏
yes but that is a system chest used as the storage device for the equipment and other items they hold and sell. i'm talking about just a stand alone chest in plain view like any normal chest would be except for the fact that it would be outside of the maps physical borders and would be otherwise inaccessible without doing what is shown in this video.
Actually this is a hint for The Elder Scrolls 6. What do we see in the video? A desert. Where can we find a desert in Tamriel? In Hammerfell. So, if you haven't already realised, The Elder Scrolls 6 is taking place in Hammerfell.
I was in Sovengarde but i never bothered exploring it.i was like-lets finnish this and go home.
do you get scared when you discover glitches underwater and you dont know whats going to happen because you cant see past 100 feet underwater?
you can do this outside of the main quest-line they forgot to barrier off a large open area similar to that far southwest which is empty except for some asset changes
Dovahkiin: when I climbed through that hole, I found great hills of stardust, and holes in reality at the base of mountains. I encountered a great sea, and swam accross it beneath a great floating mountain. When I found the other side, I discovered sheer cliffs that looked as if they had been painted. In this great desert, I went deeper through holes in the world, untill eventually I fell below the world itself, and then fell from the sky.
TO BE CONTINUED AGAIN BITCHES!!!
Bugthesda :D
Nice vid dude, I'll try it soon :)
Using tcl works great as well maybe not for consoles though
Haven't Bethesda made and put those textures there? If so, does that mean they were planning on someone going there.
THE ASS OLD MEMES, IM HOME
Okay so I did this and then when I came back to Skyrim the graphics are ruined. Water looks choppy and everything is very rigid. Anything anyone can tell me about this?
This is what gamers love: play without the rules go out of boundaries. I love when it is possible to find some things like this those high "buildings" look so impressive a lot more scary than any of the dragons or ulfric stormcloak
wow....watching this while stoned is a hundred times better for some reason....
Search for Sovngarde theme and click on the first result. It is played in Sovngarde (you get there when following the story)
They don't. Those are merchant chests. Stuff that merchants sell are stored in chests, there are some exposed chest so you can basically take what that merchant has (gold, items).
why arent there actual places in skyrim with that sort of enormity. it wouldve definitely been pretty mindblowing like the game aims to be
I wish someone would re-do this and upload a longer video now that it's 2017. I'm surprised no one else has done this
The track is simply titled "Sovngarde".
I don't know if I'm alone with this, but seeing this kind of stuff (getting out of maps in video games, especially these wide-open sandbox types) always invokes some kind of weird, matrix-esque existential dread in me. It's a silly thought of course, and one probably stemming from the over-abundance of free time on my hands, but just the idea of some messed up weirdness like this beyond the boundaries of the world...I know I'm thinking about it too hard, but what if hyperspace looks like this..?
I think they made all this because there is the risk of being thrown to air by shout or dragon or etc, and they do not wanty to immersion be broken so they developed terrain that seems bad from close, but from further it gives feel of Skyrim being province of Tamriel, not its own world.
people who like doing this will love breath of the wild
exploring is so fun
wish games added more exploring then just action
2:55
->complains about map design
->goes to a place where you can't normally get unless you glitch your way there
->GENIUS
Skyrim and Cyrodill, Hammerfel, Eslwyre, blackmarsh, high rock and technically morrowind are all one big continent island called Tamriel. The planet is named Nirn, there is a book [Songs of the Return] in Skyrim that tells of the Nords comming by boat from an island far to the north called Atmora and landing on Skyrims coast. I hope that helps answer your question.
There is a easier way to get down under sovngarde in the water. Go to the start of the left side of the dragon bridge and slowly drop your self down the mountain. :) No need to go through all the mountains!
There was one spot in oblivion where you could go to skyrim, but it was just a closed off area with some trolls
That's a common problem.
Just say the words 'Activate A3-21 Recall Code Violet' and that should activate the hidden subroutines.
I really laughted at 2:53, that's the perfect description about the situation :)
i cry evertim... This video is gold!
oh i can't believe it, i am stuck in saakar planet
I realize that. But it only takes place in Hammerfell and High Rock, not all the countries.
Ok, there's no button for that in the console version, but the save menu is relatively convenient, so that's not much trouble.
That last bit was like Cube! nicely done.
if you are on the pc and you cant figure out the glitch for some reason, type "TCL" into the game console and you can go wherever you want.
um... Wait, define quicksave. Do you, like just quickly make a save? how does that work? I mean, how do you save without going through the long "saving" screen? it doesn't make sense.
That was actually disturbing, especially the suicide part.
what was the point of it's not like you get super cool armor or a lot of gold or a super cool weapon
If your talking about the wormhole to get to soveinguard you just have to do the main storyline quest until it takes you there.
