Thanks so much for the kind words. Yes, I agree. This year I am growing Tricolor Sage and it looks absolutely stunning in the garden. Would definitely recommend it.
This is such a helpful video! Also, I had a similar issue with my lavender dying in my heavy clay and high humidity climate (zone 8), but I recently found a recommendation online for Phenomenal Lavender that is a hybrid known for tolerating climates like ours better than other varieties of lavender. I haven’t tried it yet, but my local nursery confirmed that it’s the most popular variety here! Might be worth looking into for your climate too, even in your raised beds. :)
Casey and Caleb, Thanks so much for your kind words and help. 😱 I thought something was wrong with my soil or maybe I had gophers. That is so good to know. I will check with my local nursery about this variety. I bought Spanish Lavender last week because I couldn't stay away from it. Lol. I am trying to grow it in my raised bed now. Will let you know how it goes.
Absolutely, Kim. I love planting pansy's next to the roses. A great tip is to use color theory and bring a pop to your garden with the pansies. For example, if you have peach or orange colored roses, plant blue pansies. If you have pink roses, try purple, yellow or white pansies.
@@AmritaBhortake thank you I appreciate the tips. I just got some purple, blue , yellow and red. Pansy flowers from home Depot other day. They are mixed colors in few of them . My Roses are yellow on one bush and the other side are 2 tones colored orangish with yellow. Now that I know I can plant my pansy flowers in the ground next to the roses I'm goin to do some work out there tomorrow morning 😊 thanks again! Because I didn't know if they would take the same amount of watering . Didn't want to over water the pansys.
@@kimjimenez5572 Yayyy! That's awesome. So excited for you. I usually water my pansies more than my roses. My roses are on a drip irrigation that in the heat of summer water them deeply 3 times a week. Currently, with winter I have reduced it to once a week of deep watering.
Hi,my hybrid roses are 1-1.5m Apart and may be half metre gap in fornt and back. How close can i plant lavender and marigold from rose? My nursery suggest not to plant anything but im Sooo keen planting😊
Which one of these plants are you planting next to your roses?
I love the unusual suggestions of culinary sage and parsley. Can never have too much of either!

Will parsley come back in the spring
Parsley is a biennial herb. It grows into a plant one season, and after winter's cold temperatures, it blooms, sets seeds, and dies.
Hello Amrita (beautiful name ❤) can I grow tulsi with my standard rose tree. I’m in zone 11 btw
Love from Pakistan ❤
Thanks for your kind words and yes, you can grow your tulsi with the rose.
Hi there nice video 😁 quick question can I plant pansy's flowers next to roses in the same flower bed?

Lavender and roses need different kinds of soil?
They both love well drained soil but lavenders more than roses. My roses are thriving even in the clay soil but the lavenders didn’t do so well.

Hi Shima, how big are your rose plants? The diameter of the plant itself.
