He's still awesome. The new band rule.. when you're there, at the show, hearing Axl belt out Welcome To The Jungle, it's amazing. Even if when you listen back to a recording/video, he doesn't sound that good, in the moment, he sounds awesome. There's still nobody who can sing Guns songs like Axl does, and not many people top him as a frontman.
Yeah, exactly.. I've seen him live a few times recently with Guns, and he can still bring out the power on certain occasions, and it sounds incredible.. but if he sang like that for the whole show, he'd lose his voice completely and would have to cancel a tour.

I think that "pushing too hard" was what happened.to Axl in Guns'n'Roses. He lost all his voice because of that, I'm afraid.
