men are pretty set in reality when it comes to their dating options. women however can go on dating apps and easily attain a certain caliber of men casually - but then think the guy or society is the problem because people don't want to commit to them.
the problem isn't that people think the grass is always greener yada yada, the problem is that these women chase out of their league and then try to blame someone else for their poor decisions rooted in a delluded perception of themselves.

I’m interested in hearing your opinion. It seems to me that Men nowadays are so scared, terrified of being rejected, they just don’t want to try ask a woman out. Was it that way when you were dating? Were men as sensitive as today? Were they so paralyzed by the idea of being rejected? I’ve heard stories from stable, married couples. A man could be rejected a couple of times before his now wife accepted going out with him, it took time for him to win her, and it was ok with him. He would make sure she knew he was serious about pursuing her. Men would not give up or cry because a woman didn’t say yes from the first time.

@@asenat79 I dated numerous women before I settled down with my soulmate. Yes, I believe guys in general are overly sensitive to rejection today. When it happened to me, I felt bad for a while, then moved on. Of course when I was dating there was no social media. Nightclubs were where my friends and I went most of the time to “hook up” so to speak. I’ve found being married so long that if one partner is unwilling to compromise, the chances of long-term success are not good.

I think what she was trying to say was
"There's no such thing as perfection, but being with someone imperfect and working with the relationship between you two can be very fulfilling and joyful. Even with some bumps along the road."
Knowing when to leave is for example, when you're being abused mentally or physically, when your dreams, values or life goals don't match with your partner (one wants a big family, while the other doesn't want kids at all) or when you feel unhappy all the time in a relationship.
TLDR; There are highs and lows in every relationship, and it takes skill and courage to know when and for how long to work those tides, and when it's best to leave the surf.

I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it.
It does seem that nearly all fathers and brothers are hoping that their daughters and sisters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them.
The overprotective father/brother thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them.
If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers and brothers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters and sisters ever dating if that ever happened.

That would be nice if women approached men more frequently but unfortunately that doesnt happen as often as we would like it to. if a man depends on women to approach him first he will be waiting forever for that to happen. a man getting approach by women doesn't happen as easy and as often as for a women to get approach by a man, so when a man sees a woman he likes he gotta take a chance and approach or he may miss out on a good opportunity while it's available or he may miss his chance to talk to you because depending on the situation he doesn't know if he will ever see you again. And as a man we know the chances of a woman approaching us is very slim to none so you could throw that waiting for a girl to approach us first out the window because that is unlikely to happen for the most part. And it's not the approach alone that's creepy it's more so about how he choose to go about approaching you and in what manner he approaches you with.

It’s the place. Guys at bars have a slim chance of being seriously interested. Most approach with the intention of hooking-up. It’s like a guy going to a club in LA and thinking the girl he hooked-up with wants a serious relationship just to find out she left in the morning. Where you meet someone can impact the relationship. Not always, but most of the time.

@@tiahnarodriguez3809 I agree the place really impacts. I don’t understand why guys have to be so predatorial. I’m also done studying so the bar could be an option for me to meet someone except for guys are predatorial. Most.

Having to keep the option to leave in a relationship weakens the foundations. Do your homework before choosing a partner (bars and clubs are worst places to do that) and then commit to make it work. If a dispute arise, take your time before you respond and at times, remain silent and show understanding and then discuss it later when you both are not angry or aggressive. The other half would in his/her sanity realize it sooner and reciprocate with something even better.
The problem with relationships today is that people compete rather than manifest, compromise and sacrifice. Strong relationships are build upon the foundations of commitment, unconditional love and sacrifice and not on to split things 50/50 and say a word in response to a word and scream in response to a scream.

If a good deal comes along I'll probably sign it. If that happens. If not, I still win because I'll break the cycle. In the adopted kid of an adopted dad, raised by an adopted dad.

She's part of the problem in that she said, 'you need to know when to leave'. We want things to be perfect and nothing is. A relationship, any relationship requires work and most people don't want to put in the work. They want to bail at first signs of trouble or turmoil. Life isn't perfect and neither are people. Now I'm not talking about being in an abusive relationship, I'm talking about when life throws things at you or you find out, oh my partner ISN'T perfect. What is being 'too comfortable' mean? Isn't that the goal in a relationship, to be yourself, to be comfortable?
