A few more wildcard suggestions Set Piece Specialist - set corners, free kicks, penalties and throw in taking to maximum Glory Hunter - Set players favoured clubs to Man City, Real Madrid and PSG Idendical Twin - Duplicate your chosen wonderkid but change the first name Judas special - Steal the best wonderkid from your biggest rivals Jack of all trades - Wonderkid is natural at all positions Master of None - player can only play Left Wing Back
Instead of not changing personality at all, a one-time wild card to give them a great and terrible personality - 1 loyalty/20 controversy/20 professionalism or 20 professionalism/1 pressure/1 important matches or something.
Wildcard ideas - Give contracts to three players (as you said, mega idea) - Position change of player (you can decide to change their position) - Manual adjustment (when you spin the wheel and get your P/A, if you play this wildcard you can manually input their skill set and bring the current ability to what it needs to be. Say you pick a striker with C/A at 140, maybe you want him automatically at 16 shooting, composure, pace and acceleration. Defending doesn't matter!!!) - Wonderkid trade (trade a wonderkid with another club. Can be one of your wonderkid you lost, can be a wonderkid you've seen at another team with so much potential. I think to make it fair, they need similar C/A) - Jack of all trades (you must set a wonderkid natural in all positions... That could be a bit weird and funny) - Position wheel spin (spin the wheel to decide what position the player you must pick every season) - Come home (loan move for one season back to the club of a player you lost to probably Man City)
The manual adjustment is good idea! Another way to implement this could be to copy the stats of an existing player in the game and paste them onto the wonder kid. There's an option on the in game editor to copy a player's template and paste it directly on another player.
Was always going to be difficult playing in Italy due to the finances. Was always going to sell all of the wonderkids just to survive. I don't hate the "no changing personalities" rule. It adds to the challenge and adds a layer of strategy to selecting which wonderkid you choose. I worry that tweaking all the personalities can make it too easy. These series shouldn't be an auto-win, especially when playing in a league with no money like Serie A.
Oh dear Parma! It's good to see them not just succeed every time, but annoying how bad the AI is at transfers. I think definitely get rid of that personality wildcard. But I'd like to see wildcards that encourage players to stay without making it too easy for the club to succeed... - Boost the club reputation at a certain point (although that might make it too easy!) - Wildcards to lock players at the club for X years - Ability to edit contracts / remove any release fees...
Enjoyed this episode, the struggles make it more interesting. Suggestion for Wildcard: The big man wildcard- play this one to bring Ralph in as manager. Head of youth card- one time only change head of youth (personality fault).
Really enjoying this series and would love to see it done with Rosenborg BK in Norway - they used to dominate the league but haven't won since it 2018. They also start with Sverre Nypan (who I think is classed as a wonderkid) so it would be interesting to see how he develops along with the regens.
Here's a question for you. Does International football improve C/A and if it does, how much of an impact? You could have 2 players at a fairly low C/A locked in with a transfer to Saudi in 30 years or so, playing at a top level club. One could be from the best nationality and the other worse (internationally wise, so for instance England & San Marino). If they're both awful C/A, they won't (in theory play for their club) but the low nationality player may play and grow 🤷♂️
Absolute love these wonderkid wheel videos! Would be awesome if you done one with my team, St Johnstone. Time for a team to dominate instead of the Old Firm!
wildcard suggestion - poach a player (if none of the names/positions/attributes are taking your fancy, steal and then buff a player from a youth academy in the same league)
Hi mate, not sure if it’s true but I heard that those same names in every save (like Marvin Wattiau) appear because in real life people by these names are working for FM. Other examples are Stephen Jones (usually a CB) and João Veloso dos Santos (CM) and I’m forgetting a few more. They also usually have a potential of at least 150. About the cool regen names, recently I did a Pentagon Challenge and whilst competing for the Copa Libertadores with Corinthians, I found a South-African right winger at my former club Orlando Pirates who went on to become a key player in our winning season by the name of ‘Simon Silence’. A classical right winger with 15 crossing and 17 pace/acceleration at just 18 years old. Took him with me to Barcelona for the last part of the challenge but unfortunately he stopped developing pretty quickly and didn’t get much game time at Barça. Still a legend and one of my favourite regens ever. Hit double figures with goals and assists in every season in Brazil. If you’ve managed to read this far, I’ve been watching every video of yours since about a year, and I’m a big fan of your content, especially these types of videos, which also inspired me to do a similar save with Sunderland. Keep up the good work mate, I’m happy to see your channel grow!
Yes that's true. Other common names I have come across, Sander Maas, David Lind and so many more. Their PA being at least 150 might not be right though cos I'm sure I've seen them be much worse. Simon Silence is great, if you have a screenshot of him at the peak of his powers I'd live to see it and include when i get enough for a regen vid. Great to hear you've been watching for so long, I'm honoured. Glad you enjoy the content and i like Sunderland were your choice. My first UA-cam save was Sunderland and a big favourite of mine
@@jayhuahua Yeah I see Sander Maas all the time too! Yeah I’m not too sure about the 150+ but it’s just something I notice often. Unfortunately I’m currently on a long term travel abroad and decided not to take my laptop with me to prevent me from playing FM all the time 😂 Yeah Sunderland is great! There’s already so much talent in the squad. Keep it up man, you’re my favourite FM UA-camr out there 🙏
I like that you are building up a "deck" of wildcards. For me, I don't mind having OP cards because its the luck of the draw if you get them at the start. An idea for one experiment only, spin a wheel to see how many wildcards you draw, but weight it so you have more "average" segments. So have just 1 segment each on the wheel for 0, 1, 2, 8, 9, 10. Two segments each for 3, 7. Three segments each for 4, 6 and four or five segments with 5 wildcards. It means mathematically you are likely to draw an average number but a small possibility of drawing a very good or very bad hand! Also for a card idea, why not throw in a tycoon or at least a cash injection card? Seems to me Parma were forced to sell every year because of poor finances. Tycoon may be way OP so a one off cash injection may help the club hang on to players a bit better for a year or two.
This is very interesting. I do like some of these ideas 💡 🤔 the next couple of these videos are already prepped so it may be afterwards we bring this in, but some solid ideas here 👍
I like the no changing personalities rule, it adds a lot to the challenge, but since you want to scratch it, I'll make the following suggestion: instead of not being allowed to change the personality, make it so that you're allowed to buff up to 3 personality traits per player (including determination). Each trait can be set to 10 if they're lower than 10 (or higher than 10 for the bad ones, like injury proneness). So if you spot a good name/position with something like 1 ambition 5 professionalism 4 loyalty, you can set these up to 10, they go form a horrible personality to an average one. Not granted they'll reach their potential or remain in the club, there's still risk involved but with more chances of success, without losing the fun of fun names.
oh, and following that idea, you could add a wild card to make the wonderkid have great personality attributes, like "set professionalism, loyalty and determination to 20"
Also, had a rough experiment idea along the same lines... Every season, spin a 'potential ability wheel' AND a wheel containing all the clubs outside the Premier League and the Championship. Every team that you land on gets given X amount of wonderkids (5? 10?) with the given potential boost. Will the wonderkids stay? Will any of these teams go and win the PL? Could maybe give all the big PL teams a transfer ban to stop them snapping up the wonderkids.. Could be good... could be shit.. I dunno!
Primary focus should be position if the point is to make a team great. Specially an early GK. They tend to stick with the team longer. I think the first relegation could have been avoided if a good GK was in the team after season 2 or 3.
Not sure about adjusting CA without adjusting attributes. If you adjust attributes you'll see the recommended CA go up as you do it. Adjusting their current ability without adjusting attributes with it might cause a weird response. Have you thought about that already?
I have but it usually grows and favours positional attributes and follows the players blueprint already. I could do manual improvements but it would take a lot longer and refine the players too much i think
Why don't you try this with 2 clubs at once and see who makes it to the top first, probably a rivalry to make it even more exciting, like Roma and Lazio or Benfica and Porto, or two lower down teams, like Exeter and Plymouth Argyle in England.
@ they’ve fallen off so hard after winning the FA cup and getting relegated! Numerous take overs and relegations… Would love to see you give them yearly wonder kids or maybe buff them in some other way and see if they can come back to the prem? As a side note though love your channel, keep it up
I thought the personality wild card sounded great, until I watched the video, yeah remove it. But I also do like it when you don't make it every time 😉
Yeah I never go too hard with the personality anyway. If its bad, it gets to being ok only anyway. On paper it was great, but in reality I hated it and it will cause me to lose my love for this series of videos. A shame we flopped hard, but it made things interesting 🤔
A few more wildcard suggestions
Set Piece Specialist - set corners, free kicks, penalties and throw in taking to maximum
Glory Hunter - Set players favoured clubs to Man City, Real Madrid and PSG
Idendical Twin - Duplicate your chosen wonderkid but change the first name
Judas special - Steal the best wonderkid from your biggest rivals
Jack of all trades - Wonderkid is natural at all positions
Master of None - player can only play Left Wing Back
Personally thought the no tweaking personalities was a brilliant wildcard, makes it a little bit harder.
Try returning 1860 Munich back to its glory days of winning the bundesliga
Dynamo Dresden would be better. Make an East German Club great!
I have a German team on the way and it's Wolfsburg for obvious reasons. I do like that notion though of 1860 Munich
Instead of not changing personality at all, a one-time wild card to give them a great and terrible personality - 1 loyalty/20 controversy/20 professionalism or 20 professionalism/1 pressure/1 important matches or something.

@@jayhuahua I get that, some of the newgen names have been fantastic.

Loving the wheel concept. Loving the whole wonderkid idea. Catching up with the other experiments. Bring them on 💪

Suggestion for Wildcard:
The big man wildcard- play this one to bring Ralph in as manager.
Head of youth card- one time only change head of youth (personality fault).
I saw some of my wildcard suggestions in there, you're a good egg for indulging my stupid ideas

MATE! Been waiting for this one, cheers
Can we get a shrimpton wild card for a 200 potential shrimpton, bring him to the club and add on the same jump to his current ability
🤣🤣🤣🤣

i like the no changing personalities rule but i would personally make it harder by just stopping you from seeing it until you've picked the name
2:21 “Pro…Progidal…my son returns” 😆
one wildcard could be loan back for a season you can bring any wonderkid back for a season long loan
Best series on youtube right now 🫡🫡
Much appreciated. It's my favourite videos to make... up next, Ralph at Wolfsburg
wildcard suggestion - poach a player (if none of the names/positions/attributes are taking your fancy, steal and then buff a player from a youth academy in the same league)
About the wonderkids names, isn't there a WorkTheSpace where he found a Brazilian wonderkid with a pre-setted nickname of Super Mário
Hi mate, not sure if it’s true but I heard that those same names in every save (like Marvin Wattiau) appear because in real life people by these names are working for FM. I would love a newcastle experiment

Hmmm thats a decent suggestion. I do only make them half decent, and never OP but I like how you are trying to meet me half way here 👍
Great suggestion 👌
Uppa Jayhuahua
I think a good wildcard would be to remove / edit a release clause just so your 200 rated wonder kids don’t bugger off for 30 million .
I’d love to see a Swindon one just because it’s my local and it’s very depressing seeing us this bad but you’ve done Wrexham already for league 2
Yeah League 2 is a long way down to start, I feel the wrexham one i was still finding the format. Not sure I'll start that low again but I might
We need you to restore a little glory to Montpellier, who are bottom of Ligue 1 but won the championship 12 years ago !
Also, had a rough experiment idea along the same lines...

Interesting. I've been flirting with an idea like this in some way so something in this ballpark is in the works 🤔
You should put them all back at Parma at the end and see what they do
Watching the frustration is comedy gold 😂
Lol i always worry if the frustration and despair is entertaining or just sad 🤣
@jayhuahua definitely quality entertainment for sure 😅
Primary focus should be position if the point is to make a team great. Specially an early GK. They tend to stick with the team longer. I think the first relegation could have been avoided if a good GK was in the team after season 2 or 3.
Hmmmm i mean i don't want to make things too easy. I do lean towards positions we need but it isn't the primary focus.
Would have been good to see who the club spent the money on in the transfer market.
Not sure about adjusting CA without adjusting attributes. If you adjust attributes you'll see the recommended CA go up as you do it. Adjusting their current ability without adjusting attributes with it might cause a weird response. Have you thought about that already?
Looks like the game quickly jumps the attributes up to match the CA
I have but it usually grows and favours positional attributes and follows the players blueprint already. I could do manual improvements but it would take a lot longer and refine the players too much i think
I'm was also confused with the personality type wildcard, I thought the wildcards were only for one season, not for the whole challenge
Some are for one season, some are for the whole challenge, this was one of those occasions
Why don’t you just take the player with the lowest difference between potential and current ability he would be a beast immediately
Also, as you are yet to do this in France, how about breaking the PSG with Breast?
I have started the plans but its Paris FC, feels more fitting. Although Brest offers a lot of pun opportunity
What about clear debt/ increase debt by the million the wonderkid potential is as wondercards
Hmmmm 🤔 interesting bringing finances into play. I like it as an idea
Maybe add a wildcard to make 1 wonderkid untransfarable for 15 years
We have that... its a lifetime contract 1 👍 great suggestion though
I got a newgen called Adolfo Mitler
Screenshots?
I think its better when you dont change personality at all . If you hit nice name its bonus , not that important
Thats fair... it sucks some enjoyment out for me to be honest and I feel it will come across in the videos
Please try Schalke known for their youth talent but having a real hard time rn and if they get relegated the club will no longer exist
Interesting... i may do that
Can you do it with a Monza in italy
Couldnt u have used the loyalty wild card on the guy named parma?
Rebuild Southampton with a wonderkid every season but replace Russell Martin with the GOAT Ralph Hassenhuttl.
Why don't you try this with 2 clubs at once and see who makes it to the top first, probably a rivalry to make it even more exciting, like Roma and Lazio or Benfica and Porto, or two lower down teams, like Exeter and Plymouth Argyle in England.
I have just recorded my first versus which will be out after the Ralph & Wolfsburg wildcard wheel video 👍
Do this with hannover fr
Do Wigan athletic!! ❤
Any specific reason or they just your team?
@ they’ve fallen off so hard after winning the FA cup and getting relegated! Numerous take overs and relegations…
Would love to see you give them yearly wonder kids or maybe buff them in some other way and see if they can come back to the prem?

i prefer you dont change the personalities. giving them extra current and potential ability is a lot already
Fair... but a bad personality and it's never going to matter what their PA and CA is
🎉🎉
👍
