Hello Mental Outlaw, as an Indonesian, do you want to have an opinion on my country's information and communication ministry regarding about their stupid bans on foreign services that don't comply on their PSE law? I've heard from some people that it's meant for mass surveillance. Great content as always.
It's definitely for surveillance and censorship. Mutahar already has a good video about "elastic laws" and how they're used to silence political dissidents. The new laws also compel online services to make their data available to Indonesian law enforcement on a whim.
Have you done a video on Minetest yet? It is a FOSS platform specifically for modding and experimentation - with creating and installing mods being less clicks to do. The mods have a menu to install them within the game. They put it on the operating systems you would expect, + OpenBSD, FreeBSD, and Android. Specifically I was hoping you'd check out the Mineclone-5 mod for Minetest, which turns Minetest into a modern version of Minecraft with quite a bit of parody. It is based off of Mineclone-2 which as of now has parody with the features in Minecraft 1.12.2. Mineclone-5 is a bit farther along and I get the vibes that it is kinda like an unrelated test branch that only has faster integration and content to claim for its fame, curated mod pack by a completely different guy. FOSS mod for a FOSS game that brings quite a bit of feature completeness parody with recent builds of Minecraft. Love it. The Minetest platform seems to have some quick and easy server hosting using your already generated worlds aswell.

I think Minetest is going to become more popular now that Microsoft is dropping the ball hard on Minecraft. The Minecraft UA-camr AntVenom made a video on it recently.
I got hooked on this game pretty fast, it's combat is quite nice despite being a little rough right now, I enjoy the freedom of having no death penalty (Well until they add one), and no fast travel really extended the time I enjoyed the game I got really good at combat so far but one thing they need to add is quick heal, and also stop allowing enemies to stun lock and cancel any healing. Your stamina, or "energy" is everything in combat, run out of it and your done for. Attacks will recharge your stamina but not fast enough when completely out of it making you effectively dead, Rolling gives you invincibility frames I believe, I only noticed this when cultists starting infinitely rolling to waste my time, Get them in a corner and swing swing swing your swords, nothing. They take no damage and roll and roll and roll, once they run out of stamina you can FINALLY attack them, somewhat. Cultists have nearly 150 energy (I possessed one of them while playing around with commands), hammer AI is pretty dumb, them will ground pound until they run out of stamina, despite it being soooooo easy to dodge, then you strike, roll, strike roll, strike roll until they die. If a group of cultists are around and they have mages especially, you are dead. Mages are such BS, they lob fire spells that are VERY hard to avoid, they can push you away and continue to spam fire balls, burn you to death up close, and more. Archers are pretty deadly as enemies, alone they are manageable enough if you avoid their shots, but you can't if they are grouped up. Lions and other "pouncing" mobs are irritating as they simply jump across MASSIVE distances to catch you, can turn in midair, and their attacks are apparently AOE, because they hit me at a great distance, the economy is pretty interesting, it's very easy to earn money if you actually try for a bit and sacrifice something (Almost all loot is VERY useful), but at the same time everything can be very expensive, the merchants never sell equipment greater than bronze really either In 2 or so days I've pretty much done most that can be done in the game lol, the gameplay loop is powerful but it needs a bit more polish, and definitely more content, maybe something like fishing idk, the ocean seems kinda dead other than dumb fish
YO! I just started feeling so stupid thinking "I need the racecar Johnny explanation on how to open Airshipper", but I think it is really cool that I can find it using the start menu search engine with linuxmint. Kinda ticked me off at first that I couldn't find it in file explorer, but I guess that's also less bloat that I'll have to think about when looking through files a few years from now.
Being voxel based probably makes it much easier for devs to make new content, considering you don't need to worry about creating and rigging 3d models and texturing them. I would love to have a crack at the dev kit. lol
not that much easier since it also means animations have to be done mathematically and the game needs far more optimization since voxels are much slower than polygons
Update: I downloaded the game and played around. The difficulty is really cranked up. I haven't looked at build mode yet, since I can't figure out why when I adminify myself on a localhost server, I still can't use /build. I went on the official server and played around in Cough City for a few minutes too. There was some wizard looking guy that had an avatar twice my size. Difficulty aside, it's still fun to play. But I think I will really have to work at getting good enough to take on a dungeon. I wondered into a dungeon (on the map I think it said it was level 2), and some skeleton archer thing wiped the floor with me. lol
It’s not fully open because you need a retail copy of the game but have you ever considered OpenMW? I didn’t realize how popular it was, but it’s in the main repos of Debian void and arch.

Even without quests, it's plenty of fun. Early game is a bit unbalanced but from then on, lots to do. Plus quests are coming in soon, one or two minor updates from now as I see it. Definitely worth the first 10 to 20 hours at the very least imo
It is. If you set a goal. Since there are no quests yet, you can make your own for yourself, like "I should get a 70 slots inventory" and then spend a whole day on looting stuff needed for 4 great backpacks and then finally craft them; say "I want a new great weapon"; say "I want to get on top of the biggest mountain in the game and try to glide from it as far as possible"; say "I want to explore every single place on the map (i've been playing on the official server for 3 days already and haven't even explored 1/6 of it)"; say "I want to get better at combat"; say "I want to team up with a newbie and help him progress while having fun with him". In short, have fun.
