Never heard of this band before till today where Spotify played it on shuffle. This might be one of my all time favorite songs. When the mood changes in the song around 2:30, it just puts your head in a different space. Amazing.
This is one of their best songs. It deserves more cr dot. This song is about as deep as it gets. Alot of emotion and you can FEEL they put their souls into this one. Incredible and always brought alot of emotion out of me
This song and album are so great. I used to listen to this in high school, like 2011. I never got the full picture of the album, but I would listen to it on repeat. Listening to it again recently, and reading/singing along really made me see why I always loved it.
I’m only a 13 year old girl… but let me say this song speaks to me in so many ways! this is my dads favorite band of all time and i remember being even younger going on mountain rides in the country, and asking him to put mushroom head on. i could see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice that this “ caught in the wave of the world around me, and in this state i’m sure it could drown me… will i ever learn the way, everywhere i turn today something tells me run away… something burns inside me, EVEN THOUGH IVE PRESSED ERASE, FEEL IT SLOWLY FADE AWAY… thoughts that go on endlessly, how much longer can i wait???? WHAT DOES IT TAKE!?? that meant something to him… and i know what the song means now that i’m a little older i understand it all. YALL ARE AMAZING ARTISTS YOU MEAN A LOT TO ME AND MY DAD LOVES YOU GUYS SO MUCH! thank y’all so much for the amazing music!! -Aubrie Day
With everything going on in the US with government control, being on the precipice of the The Great Reset aka The New World Order. I have come back to this song, it hits pretty hard these days. This song goes hand in hand with George Orwells 1984, which I'm on my 2nd read through.
Vagina should be our national flower, the slayer emblem should be on our national flag, John Lee dressed as the crow should be our national bird, white should be our national race, and speed balls should be our national pass time.
lol I just realized how perfectly this would work as our national anthem the parts -"As they feed the war machine and pull the strings behind the scenes With a bloated sense of supremacy Blinded by the preconceived distorted way to be perceived It's what believed by your enemy"-
I've seen them live twice, and guys... it is everything you'd hope it'd be x1000 . With covid idk when rock concerts will be what they once were. Makes the concerts we have been to that much more special :) have a good one y'all
"They'll keep you safe inside your homes, board ur windows lock ur doors" if that line doesn't describe the Covid 19 pandemic/quarantine idk what does lol 🔥🤟💯🎸 who would have thought this album would be so relevant nowadays to what's going on in the world. Mushroomhead predicted 2020 I call it
Likewise! Back when I was trotting on a paper round, I'd have this album on most days, and I'd always get to the half-way point when this song would start. Always gave me a bit of perk for the rest of the route.
Look up Lamb of God "Vigil" or basically any Septic Flesh song. Demon Hunter 'The Flame that Guides Us Home" + "Not I" (Have to be listened to together, first one is a short album intro"
I have listened to Mushroomhead hahahhha soooo much that i find myself humming their songs without thinking about it. They should come up with an album called "GOSPEL".
I'm having difficulty with my ability to convey a point right now, but these lines, yes, just yes all over. "Might is right, and thought is wrong It's a long road nowhere... enjoy the ride with blinders on your government is control they'll keep you safe inside your homes board your windows, lock your doorshold on to something here comes the rains, this dam is about to break..."
Idk man i use to really love slipknot they use to be my favorite band but when i herd mushroomhead for the first time it caught my ear the instruments the piano everything down to the lyrics how deep they go with it something i feel slipknot didn't do very well an they made slipknot to me sound funny almost like they were trying to hard
Kristabella Klairessa Erlynella Fireheart. Brazil is more messed up than the US is, which is odd for me to say. But Mushroomhead started in the US, and lives in the US.
the MRH tracks that have synthesized human voices are always severe and usually my favorite tracks see if you notice the difference in content and feel maybe it's just me
"Let freedom ring" with that bell in the background is fucking creepy and I love it. One of my favorite Mushroomhead songs.
Dead on fave, all the repressed rage
No doubt
When Jeff starts singing I get literal chills down my spine
authorization batman and you kid are a internet gangster
authorization batman sorry my bad, i didn’t realise you didn’t have enough brain cells to let others appreciate good music

Popson is a really talented singer. The colour of his clean voice really appeals to me and it really complements Hatrix' deeper voice.

This is one of my all time favorite songs
Let Freedom Ring.
Isn't often that a song that is over 8 minutes long leaves you wanting more.

Look up Lamb of God "Vigil" or basically any Septic Flesh song.
Demon Hunter 'The Flame that Guides Us Home" + "Not I" (Have to be listened to together, first one is a short album intro"
@@Danny-wn6wo it doesn't have to be scream o' death metal to be heavy it's the dark sound and heavy distortion of guitars that makes it heavy..
@@stevenemeth906 Also the headbanging rithm it has plus the good lyrics
Whole album is underrated.
Best album in my opinion it didn't come outta my player for about a year...
I listen to music while doing other things, but there is no way I can stop this song before it runs its amazing course. It's such a punch to the gut.
Badass song to pump iron too
This is a beast of a songgggggggggggggg so good roller coaster of emotions

I was thinking to myself if someone were to ask me my favorite song like ever. No matter what the top, number one! This would be it.

God bless Cleveland, Ohio🇺🇸
I still hold on to this song to this day, Faithless Savior murder me.
Intro sounds like a Bruce Faulconer DBZ theme.
God damn man this song holds power
sick intro
It took me this whole song to eat two peanut butters just saying what a badass breakfast
I'm having difficulty with my ability to convey a point right now, but these lines, yes, just yes all over.
"Might is right, and thought is wrong

I think they played this live last year when they came through, it was the first time I really started to Ike it
Vampire Anthem
i love how slipknot came out with a song similar to this a couple years after this one came out
john divine do you know which one? I'm a fan of both bands, but I don't think I've heard any slipknot song that sounds similar.
Cory Taylor is a simpleton. Has nothing on Jeffrey, Waylon or Jmann.
There's nothing great about Sloopkunt anyways. There's so much greatness & lyrical meaning within Mushroomhead's music.
@@Darkless4X ??

This song fucking awesome
And rise up and take it all
Caught in the wave of, the world around me, and in this state, I'm sure, it could drown me.
LET FREEDOM RING!
Even though this is an anti war song, it can be applied to our covid situation.
Become born again and live ✨️ otherwise you will Burn 🔥
No thanks, being born once has been enough of a bitch.
#floydriots #covid19scandal ......"HOLD ON TO SOMETHING!"
This song perfectly describes PTSD. Not sure if that's what they were going for, but it sounds like it was written from a vet's perspective.
They're from the states.
Kristabella Klairessa Erlynella Fireheart. Brazil is more messed up than the US is, which is odd for me to say. But Mushroomhead started in the US, and lives in the US.
As they feed the war machine
Now the lyrics in 2020 The Heresy "As WE feed the war machine"
Am I the only one who hears some Pink Floyd influences here and throughout many MRH songs?
the MRH tracks that have synthesized human voices are always severe and usually my favorite tracks see if you notice the difference in content and feel maybe it's just me

i like how you censored the word DAM, which is not a curse word. Shame how no one can remember their homophones. Damn not equal to dam.
Correction, he's referring to an actual dam, not damn as in goddamn
shloopnoot= edgy kids in skiny jeans.
Mushroomhead=WW2 in the 70s
