    I watched this just for the soldering tip. I was having trouble with these small chips with lots of legs. Nice tutorial.

    hi guys this method is really for beginners but this method is also difficult for pros so its better to use hot air soldering gun to remove the nec processor and if a key can't be repaired just take the nec processor and solder it to a new key board and it will function and start the car also control remote locking and opening doors without the need to reautorize the key to the car with diagnostic tools, i do this on daily basis. great video keep it up guys.

      Hi, so I swapped my chip but it doesn't open or start the car anymore. Remote light flashes after I press a button. What did I do wrong?

    does anyone know if your board is damaged can you swap the NEC chip onto another board? will it start the car? does any other chip have to be swapped for it to work properly?

      If the NEC is ok then swapping to a working board will do the job.

    It is very funny for a beginner to rework on a mercedes remote key that costs a few hundred dollars.A 555 timer project is always a good starting point for exercise.

    That's no good how your doing that I have been a electronics technician for 25 years and that NEC integrated circuit can be destroyed by electro static discharge from your body not once did I see you ground yourself with a wrist strap..I only point this out because it be a shame to take the chip out just to destroy it

    • @eazzyfizzle3971
      @eazzyfizzle3971 4 роки тому

      you are also correct but this works this way, ive done it 1000 times same way and never did the nec break

    • @frankensteinke
      @frankensteinke 4 роки тому

      What would be the use of a wrist strap? What would you ground to?

    • @les536
      @les536 4 роки тому

      The point of the wrist strap is to dissipate the electrostatic charge from your body so that charge does not destroy the low voltage sensitive components threw the conductive legs of the NEC program integrated circuit

      If using tweezers best to use ESD tweezers with Electrostatic discharge (ESD) specifications
