Sounds as if it's made for very loud playing, with little change of dynamics. For stage music, marching bands, etc. But not for delicate playing with lots of dynamics, nuances and sustain; not even Simon could sustain the tone at piano, it breaks apart. Not sure about that red material; sound-wise it's worse than good rubber. But maybe it's good for outdoor playing? (where black rubber mouthpieces will turn yellow when exposed to sun.)
