Wow, I was born in Tyrone in 1961 and heard about the flood. My dads name was Bob Sullivan, he would have been about 21 at the time. The story goes something like nobody could find him and his family was told that the last anyone saw him he was floating down one of the main streets, carried away by the current. Sometime later he showed up back in town and lived to tell the tale.
