ridge wallet is a shitty, overpriced products. their "damascus" is fake laser etched pattern, ffs.
and the company abuses its less famous creators by withholding payments from them, by demanding more content at no additional pay.
there are many creators that are reporting on this, but one of the more recent ones can be found by searching for "DO NOT WORK WITH THEM (Ridge Wallet)"
Please do something pre 20th centers at least like the good old days when u started this channel I need a break from Ukraine I
Could you possibly please do a video on the current & past crises in Sudan? I would love to know more about this conflict.
Apologies as my question doesn't have to do with this video. But what happened to the 'Aid to Ukraine: is America Getting a Good Deal' video? I used that video a ton to show critics of our spending why it is in our interests to help.
Simon made us an offer we can't refuse
For Ridge Wallet
Simon wouldn't understand this joke LOL
Ice him!
Simon never refuses an offer 😅
@@kevinfoster1138Bro literally quoted The Godfather and tried mimic his voice like Vito’s well quoting it. What makes you think he wouldn’t know?
A point about safety with rings: if you are around anything that can move unexpectedly at high speeds (for example, the ropes holding a sail on any sailing vessel), please take the ring off and carry it in your pocket. The concern is not for the durability of your ring, but for the durability of the finger it is attached to.
I studied engineering, and many of my friends wear the Iron Ring of Engineers everywhere they go. Some of their friends now wear those rings on their ringfinger instead of the pinky because it is customary to wear the Iron Ring on the last finger of the right hand...and due to ring-and-sporting related mishaps, that is no longer their pinky finger.
I'm sure Ridge makes very stylish and durable rings, and I encourage you to wear them as often as you want in most circumstances. But if you are around moving things that might catch on the ring...put the ring away, because you lose more than just the ring when something goes wrong.
just google "Degloving"
I appreciate the thought, and concern that you put into this reply.
But might I point out, you are replying to the *advertisement* content of this video. Please stop doing this.
This is only encouraging these creators to continue to ruin their own videos by sticking advertisements in them.
Great advice!!!🙏👌🦉❣️
@@LilBipper how is it ruining the videos? It gives creators the funds to make better content, and you can just skip like 40 seconds
@@LilBipper what a clown. Imagine wanting the creators you enjoy the work, make money out of it, right?
The Moustache Pete in the photo was Giuseppe "the old fox" Morello who was Masseria's official Don turned under boss during the Castellmamare War...He won the previous Mafia - Camorra War 1915 - 1917 against Morano and his Napoletano Camorra from Napoli cementing the Siciliano Cosa Nostra as the dominate Mafia in America....great book by Nigel Cawthorne "History of the Mob" if anyone is interested
Love you guys!
Unfortunately, the photo of Maranzano at 6:23 is a popular error. This man is Salvatore Messina, another mobster. There are no known photos of Maranzano other than his bloody corpse. A fascinating video explanation of this common error can be found here > ua-cam.com/video/kEzEAkMIkBs/v-deo.html
(Yes, i called the explanation fascinating.)
There are some mre errors in this video. But I dont care to point all out. But the youtube channel The Mob Archeologisthave great videos about diffrent relations between Italien famelies and also the commisionn befor lucky and Maranzano. They have the first video about myth about lucky is great. I read allot about the mob so im a bit of a nerd.
1:45 - Chapter 1 - Masseria, maranzano & mafioso factionalism
3:55 - Mid roll ads
5:10 - Back to the video
7:20 - Chapter 2 - Masseria vs maranzano
10:55 - Chapter 3 - Mustache petes vs young turks
14:20 - Chapter 4 - Rise of the 5 families
Just finished watching BoardwalkEmpire and it’s great hoe many characters represented from that show are included here, I keep thinking “Hey! I know who that guy is!”
Loved that show, except the last season, otherwise it was amazing
Lucky Luciano really was a criminal genius.
I love American Mafia history. And listening to Simon tell us about it, just puts a smile on my face because he's so far removed from it.
Just as far removed as you are
This is gonna be good. Mafia on Warographics. Outstanding! Cheers
Please do the yakuza civil war in the 80s
Reportedly when questioned about the killing of Joe the Boss, Lucky said he heard a commotion in the restaurant, and said as soon as he was done washing his hands he went to find out what happened. Nice touch
"We are all honorable men here, we do not have to give each other assurances as if we were lawyers." -- Don Vito Corleone
actually that was Emilio Barzini who says that. Vito brings up vengeance for Santino. and Bruno tattalia
Lol, Barzini said that
- Don Emilio Barzini (correction)
I live in the town neighboring Castellammare del Golfo lol where the term castellamarese war comes from
Thank you for telling the true story behind "Olive oil war" in the Goodfarher. Brilliant and well reaserched! A true pleasure to watch!
id love to see episodes on the 1st and 2nd 'Ndrangeta wars in Calabria. between the two they where responasble for well over 800 dears
This was very fun. Much smaller in scope than the usual fare we get here, but no less impactful.
Outstanding video. Just entertaining and informative.
Awesome Video!!!! This was definitely as instrumental as other conflicts between countries!
Simon, excellent interpretation of those lines from the Godfather!
Video 12 of asking Simon and team to do a Syrian civil war video or perhaps more, as well as a Rise and Fall of ISIS
Would appreciate it a lot
8:02 Gaetani Reina's daughter later married Joe Valachi, the first major Mafiosi to turn informant and break _omerta_ , the code of silence.
The Godfather is a n easy read. I recommend it and Fools Die by Puzzo.
On THIS, the day of my daughters wedding. I once heard a British guy say how every American is OBSESSED with the Godfather and act like theres something wrong with you if you havent seen it a hundred times.. and hes right. Everyone should see it at least 100 times.
Whats up with all of warographics videos going private for some reason! Thats a shame to see! Hopefully nothing too bad happening, i was looking forward to a couple that were available like 2 days ago but now a huge amount of them have been delisted! Hope alls good simon!
As great as that movie was, it sanitized the mafia too much. Movies like "Casino" and "Goodfellas" give a more accurate portrayal.
Not enough for Sinatra. He beat the crap out of Puzo when saw him eating at the same restaurant. Things like Moe Green's assassination (which was modeled after the hits on Siegel and Anastasia) may or may not have rubbed certain people the wrong way.
Makes sense, Casino and Goodfellas are based on real people and events, where The Godfather is not
That bit within the first minute, there's a reference to that in the movie Zootopia
A good follow up video to watch after this one would be Count Dankulas video on Murder Incorporated .
Good episode as usual Simon, my favorite channel of yours. But did you or Spotify remove this from its platform? I really liked listening to the podcast on Spotify while working and I cannot watch youtube while at the office. Please add it back to the Spotify platform if you are able to do so, gracias.
their big family is really awesome there, I think is the point that needs to be emphasized here!
A testament to the writing from Mario Puzo, is that Simon made that into statement feel threatening
Can you do the Barbary Wars?
The best part of this is the red bull on the desk. (Writing and presentation were great as always.)
Love the video...something different real nice !!!
10:36 That team consisted of Vito Genovese, Joey Adonis, Benjamin Siegel and Albert Anastasia.
I'm gonna give you a redbull you can't refuse
What app helps me keep up with all of Simon's channels!!!🤔🤔🤔
Hey Simon and co., Why have so many of your videos been 'privatised' recently. I was look for the video on 'El Salvador's War on gangs' but I can't find it now. Could you explain what's happened?
Yes!
Frankly I’m shocked you had not done this one yet.
It was between the Italians, real greaseball shit.
-Ray Liotta
I don't know why, but when I first saw the title, I thought it said 'Castlevainia Wars'
Simon probably hearing those words for the first time as he reads them there 😂
Don’t you have an Italian writer on your team? Can’t believe they’d let you say Cam”PAIN”ia and Ca”LAY”bria. It’s like the battle of “SHILL-loh” again. Quick tip, if it’s not an English name or word, assume “a” makes the sound it’s supposed to “ah”. Still one of my favorite UA-camrs Simon
i dont expect him to pronounce things correctly. hes said as much. #vivacalabria
That's not a pic of maranzano. OCshorts did a video on the pissed I'd.
I love the little history references that mobsters make in their mob history. The night of Sicilian vespers was a real thing in history where a buncha Sicilians murdered every Frenchmen they could find.
You did it! You actually did it!
Today, I would trust a Mob member with my life over a politician any day of the week.
At 15:33….The Commission poster.
Top center is Stefano Maggadino, the Buffalo area Don.
His cover business, to this day, is, wait for it….
Maggadino Funeral Home. You can’t make this up.
Good friend of mine , he went to a suburban HS with his g’kids.
He recently stopped by to look in on the g’son who now ran the show. Just old time stuff between buddies, then….
A hood from Central Casting, thick neck, bad tie, flies in the door.
Hey, what do I do with the body? he says…..it’s in the trunk.
Turns to look at Sam. Awkward silence ensues.
Sam asks where’s the bathroom at?
Goon points down the hallway…..Sam comes back and resumes the conversation…..
There have been burial ceremonies with eight pallbearers. Heavier than usual dear departed, I guess……😉
I didn’t know about this channel I clicked on it and got flashbanged by Simon on yet another one of his 10,000 channels lmao.
Cool ring 😎
There was a very interesting video about the gangs in El Salvador that I saw earlier today... what happened to it?
Don Simon.
Wait how have you not done jimmy hoffa yet
Bofia -
"Mafia" with a head-cold.
Ok now do The Browser Wars
What Simons mafia be called?
Talk about the subject, Not commercials. .
Why'd they yank your El Salvador video?
Oh Simon! That photo of “Maranzano” has long been debunked. Poor research I’m afaid.
The man you show is NOT Maranzano. 😎
Sure, now most of the crooks just work in boardrooms and all their rackets are legal
Excuse me if I'm explaining this simply, but making drugs doesn't make the black market turn legit. It just moves on to whatever it believes will make them money next, be it other drugs, sex, construction, govt, etc.
Hey this is Rudolph Valentino's photo not Maranzano 😂
It has been proven that the picture that is commonly used for Maranzano ISN'T him. FACT CHECK IT
Simon need his energy or he get angry
Lucky
Simon I'm not gonna lie the pre rolled Ads have been really awkwardly placed in every video. Like fuck wait for a pause or something. You just have them interrupt you mid sentence xD
I would never want to be a boss. Or underboss. I would prefer to be a consigliere. Brings less heat on you.
The Mafia still exist today? I thought they died out.
Nope, still very much alive but way more underground.
rings? seriously? 😂 this is getting ridiculous...or even ringdicilous 🤭
That Maranzano photo is of some English guy. It's not the right picture.
somewhere an Italian died listening to those pronunciations Simon... Profaci was downright offensive
I don't think he got the pronunciation of a single name correct. Fortunately they're all dead. 😂
whaaat?
😁👍
First time a war NOT faught between counties this time
It's a gang war, 1920s/30s this time! 😅
🇮🇹 ⚔ 🏙 ⚔ 🇮🇹
NYC
3:54 nice advertisement in your video.
Greatly appreciate it after I have already paid for UA-cam premium, for the exact reason of escaping these shitty ads trying to get me to buy stupid things I don’t need.
Super classy. 🙄
Videos get demonitized, quit whining, and skip the 90 second ad..
where can I buy that crap???????????????????
fifth!
The only thing assassinated here was the Italian language, as "spoken" by Simon. Talk about a hit job.
Sounds a bit like Trump. When is going down?
oh please, Simon dont try to fool us... we OGBB know you never watched Godfather and given how much you hate classics, probably hate it as well... so you are not gonna fool us, thats for sure
first
17th place and the 2nd idiot to write "first".
First
Pls pin 📌 mine😍🥰
You got 4th and not "First".
Why even pin a moronic stupid comment that is just a load of crap.
This should be on biographics Rusty Venture 😂
