Macy saved Thorne from prison but more importantly from having to endure another family gathering that was all about Ridge.
She also saved _us_ from having to endure it.

Poor Thorne. This is supposed to be his "we're so glad you aren't about to be ex e cu ted" party and he keeps getting upstaged by Ridge's love life.
And it is a bit jarring to hear Thorne thanking his family for their unwavering support, none of which we saw on screen. We didn't see any of them visiting him even once in prison, while Macy, Sally and Dylan were the ones who actually got him out of there. Even his lawyer, Connor, got sidetracked by a more interesting case (of course involving Ride's love life).
At least Maria is making him enchiladas.
The party focus perfectly encapsulated Thorne's presence on the show. It began with a cursory nod to his storyline (Eric's toast), then it threatened to become all about Ridge (Jessica shaking her head solemnly and telling Ridge, "The situation you were in..." while her cousin who avoided a death sentence is right there) with Stephanie about to make the scene all about Taylor vs Brooke, but then Macy enters and saves Thorne _a second time_ by ending that nonsense and resetting the spotlight on her and Thorne. ❤

@@annieo6527 And Stephanie crediting Sally for "saving my daughter in law" rather than acknowledging Macy as Sally's daughter. Macy has now been acquired by Forrester Inc (the way Stephanie would refer to Taylor as Ridge's in front of Jack as if he no longer had any claim to his daughter).

When Macy and Thorne embraced, I thought that Thorne had come a long way. His first few years on the show were focused on Caroline, who had her heart set on Ridge. He always lived in his big brother's shadow. Now, with Macy, he has a path, a woman and life of his own. I know it's his and Macy's second trip down the aisle, but I was still happy for him. Too bad it doesn't last and he continues rotating with Ridge's disregards: Taylor and Brooke. It's good that Ridge never went after Macy or Darla.
Exactly! This feels like true character development for Thorne. This is as far as he'll ever come as a character. Unfortunately, he'll start regressing by 1997.

It's interesting how strong love triangles never get resolved on B&B. Whenever Ridge rejects one, it's not for long. He comes back to them again and again. Same with Liam in the next generation. And soon, I'm sure we'll see a third generation between Kelly, Beth and a new person...perhaps a new generation of Spectras.

This is the first time in a while that the various stories have merged. Did Jessica know that Taylor is alive? And the two main stories of Taylor being alive and Thorne being framed seemed to travel in parallel universes. But they finally come together now, with these stories being wrapped up. Now, new stories emerge: Dylan trying to chase Maggie while seeing Jessica and Jasmine getting ready to sue Sally. I know the Bridgett paternity reveal is around the corner.
How can Sally not appreciate Aaliyah?

Now I've watched 2096 episodes, watching several episodes every day. Bold and the Beautiful - 1995 (S8 E345) FULL EPISODE 2096 These episodes are from 1995. Why do I have to wait for a new episode every day here on UA-cam? Since they are from 1995, I will never finish the entire series as long as I live with only one episode per day.

Living again in the shadow of his brother Ridge and Ridge's news (asking Taylor for a divorce/having proposed to Brooke again), Thorne might have felt he has to keep proposing to Macy, to keep everyone's attention on Macy-Thorne for once.
