    Amazing to go back and see this especially after winning The Players Championship last week :o Tom Smallwood is the ultimate PBA underdog

    I loved it. One special little guy got to meet one big special bowler. Great story and really enjoyed watching it. We need more good people in this world. Thanks Sean!

    Just an unbelievable match. Almost makes me want to cry a little hearing Tom Smallwood’s story. You go from being an autoworker at GM, then you get laid off a couple days before Christmas which is absolutely terrible, then you live a dream you have had your whole life, and win a major for your first title. Tom is just incredible.

    Great Event ! After watching so much bowling. I was waiting to see if anyone out on the tour who has a similar style to myself. Thanks to Tom Smallwood who now has giving me the confidence to stay with my game. As for it being pretty. I would say not or even conventional or traditional. I admit i would luv to have the free arm swing like most of the pros & have tried to no end. So i was quite glad not to hear Randy Peterson critique Toms game in a bad way. #Johnnie #Smallwood is my new name. Great job Tom. Congratulations !!!

    What does an "exempt player" mean?

      To be honest, I don't know either. I've even Googled it and it's confusing. I hope someone answers.

      When the PBA used an exempt format, the field for each tournament was limited to 64 bowlers (except the U.S. Open). The majority of those 64 spots were reserved for exempt bowlers. Players earned exemptions by winning titles. The rest of the spots were generally reserved for those who placed well in that given tournament's pre-tournament qualifier (TQR). If you weren't an exempt player, you had to bowl the PTQ no matter how many titles you won in the past. Nowadays, most tournaments have an open field and there isn't a PTQ unless the field is limited.

    And then, Jason Belmonte came along and broke the PBA and the sport. Damn 2-handers defeating everyone.

      how is it breaking the sport?

      Don't complain about belmo the reason people that bowl one handed complain is because they can't generate the power and revs

    • @Saskman73
      @Saskman73 9 років тому +2

      Cayleb Carey not totally correct.. im one handed and i generate almost as much as belmo, im around 560rpm and i dont agree with allowing 2-handed because its something that not everyone can do, unfair advantage.. i like belmo just dont agree with 2-handed

    • @cayleb158
      @cayleb158 9 років тому +1

      +revz1373 yes I know some people with one hand can generate the revs a great example is Ej Tackett he can do it but what I was saying most one handers can't so they say that two handed is cheating if it was cheating why can belmo bowl on the Pba tour

    • @jay1085
      @jay1085 9 років тому +2

      unfair advantage??? Wtf not everyone can bowl 560 rpm, must be an unfair advantage.

    I wonder how well Tom would bowl if he had to use the traditional delivery that most bowlers have (Barnes, Duke, etc.).

      I wonder how well all left handers would bowl if they had to bowl right handed. What does it matter?

      I wasn't knocking him. I was merely curious.
