The throwing the ball demonstration was really useful as it was relatable. The problem I have is that my hands are too big for the grips therefore I grip harder to stop the club from going further than the ball!
Surprised how little focus there is on grip pressure. As you mentioned, mechanically lots of the other good things happen in the swing automatically without tension putting the brakes on.
Yes, exactly right, the worst thing that gets ignored almost exclusively when discussing cures and fixes is Aiming / Alignment , hardly anyone mentions the fact that unless you are aimed correctly no ‘cure’ is actually going to achieve any success. I’ve recently uploaded a video on this.
@ I saw that one too. Another issue that creeps in for me if I don’t get a balance between playing and practicing with sticks down. I need to practice more often or come up with a magic pre-shot routine that cures all!
The best instruction / instructor out there on breaking-down this fundamental. Just wish I'd viewed it yesterday before succumbing to the satanic trifecta (aim, grip, pressure) and banana'ing my way around the course 😭 Thank you, Fraser 🙏
Great content and I have changed those Callaway ai 300 to the Pings G430 after a refit!🫣🤞👍 I’ve played up there at North Berwick….What a Golf Course and Clubhouse!! In my Top10!👍⛳️
Thanks a lot and good to hear about the clubs. Yes, North Berwick has TWO brilliant courses, West and East (Glen). A lot of people think there's only one.
How would you solve tension in the wrist and hands? I'm a better player and it drives me insane. I also feel like when I hold it lightly in the hands that the club is moving around or loose in my hands during the swing
It sounds like you might need to check where the club is in your hands, is it in the base of the fingers enough. Remember you can still have a feeling of some pressure in the top 3 of the top hand and the middle two of the bottom hand. Possibly grip size is another thing to check - if it’s too small you’ll instinctively want to hold on tighter.
@golffm6924 If anything I think my grips may be too big and I need undersized grips. I have small hands and fat fingers. I don't think I hold it too much in the palm but I could be wrong. I'm a low single digit handicapper and NEVER had a comfortable grip
Experiment with one club, get a wedge regripped in a different size and try to find one that feels comfortable. Then get the whole set once you find something.

Yes, I wish I'd mentioned that actually. An excuse for another video I suppose. You definitely need the right size of grip.
me too

Thank you very much. Could you tell approximately 100,000 people please. Hope it all helps. Satanic Trifecta, I like that.
@golffm6924 you claim it -- inspired by your "root of all evil" 🥳
