Or it is what has most traditionally been assumed a plural of respect and might just like our you displaced thou when the polite adress prevailed in familiar settings too. Or like the "We Henry II decree by God's grace ...". As longs as one reads faith into the Bible and not out of it, he may not sipple the fountains of verity.
