Hows the vibration? I had the original Doubletake mirrors and they vibrated like crazy on the highway. Seemed like the more I tightened the clamp, the more they vibrated. And if I loosened them up enough to quell the vibration, then they would move around offroad.
I ordered the trail mirror for my super moto. I loved the look, but at 270# I could not see anything behind me, just my own midsection. After I get some risers on that bike, I will try again to see if the new position gives me some view behind me. I also have the first version of the adventure mirrors on my dual sport, and they work very well. Nothing negative to say about those except it's a costly investment.
so now all the ram mounts i have wont work with the mirrors, and this is an improvement how? or just for double take? now locked into a proprietary system? Er no I dont think so
My one wish is that Double-Take fix the clamping system so it can't be stolen, the number one mod most people do to ram mount systems is a security locking nut. I can't justify paying $250 CAD for a mirror system that can be stolen easily, same reason I won't buy a $200 CAD tank bag that can be taken
Where do you live that people are stealing motorcycle mirrors? And why would they steal them? Even if they are expensive when new, they don't really have a lot of resale value. It's not like the online marketplaces are flooded with stolen Doubletake mirrors. And I doubt a crackhead will have much luck exchanging it for drugs. Is it just mischevious kids?

They are so big/clunky looking. I go with the cheapo Ken Sean folding mirrors, they can be folded in/out with 1 hand even when you're on the move.

Do they still supply the reverse thread for the KTM mounts on the adventure?
Yes they still have reverse thread adapters. Check them out here: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/double-take-reverse-thread-adapter-p
Never understood why they make them so big. Have the adventure old ones but they are huge.

You could just quickly remove the mirror, and then unclip tank bag and take them both with you.
