Watching from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 I am a domestic helper here also.Everytime I watched this kind of segment my tears fall down because my employer daughter that I'm the one taking care of her since birth is telling me that aunty when you go back home if ever I grown up, I will go to Philippines and find you there because I cannot forget you for my whole life ,your the one who's taking care of me every day when my mom is not around, she always tell me aunty thank you for everyday taking care of me..❤❤❤❤❤so very sweet little girl..
Watching from Germany.... I am a product of DH in Singapore.. My sister used to work in Singapore in order for me to go to nursing school in the Philippines. Now I'm working as a nurse here in Germany... Good thing my sister went home and got married. She has now 2 children and now it's my turn to help them.
As a Filipino working abroad, I empathized with auntie's experience because it is similar to what I have been doing up to this point. I am grateful to Rachel's family for treating auntie like a member of their own family, and Rachel's gesture of sharing her story and visiting auntie means a great deal to us Filipinos. It is my hope that this story will inspire other Asians to care for and respect their domestic helpers as fellow human beings.
I love this series. That she said to auntie, “you let OUR dreams come true” was so meaningful. To all the aunties who sacrificed their own families and their own dreams - thank you for all you’ve done ❤
Lets treat our helper well...be they Filipino or other nationality...they gave part of their lives for us n its not been easy for them...lets treat them like one of our family...
I think it's the 4th finding auntie i watched. And it made me cry again, happy to see them together, they're not related to blood, but they treat each other like family.
I love this series. It shows how these domestic helpers helped shape the new generation of Singaporeans and shows how caring these helpers are. It brings tears to my eyes.
Another one. At least this one is so much happier and not tearjerker. Hahaha! I love this series! Thank you for this CNA! And the scrapbook is so sweet.
Thank you to the families for caring and treating our "kababayans" as part of your families. The aunties have left their home country to take care of another family in a foreign country.
For many of these helpers who have spent most of their lives with other families, what they do is more than just a job, it's a vocation. Since their motivation to work away from home is to give (to their parents, children, siblings), it's not difficult for them to treat their work and life as something to give (a gift) to families they live with. May they all have happy and fulfilling vocations while in Singapore, and a healthy retired life back home.
Rachel, you are a gem, what a way to honor auntie Marlyn with your kind gestures, really show how you are raise well, the immense appreciation of your family towards auntie Marlyn really proves that respect and love was deeply rooted in your upbringing..

Blessed to have found good employers who are God fearing and kind and treats me like part of the family. Singapore will always be a second home for me. 😢
This episode of Finding Auntie was so heartwarming! Auntie Marilyn's Singaporean accent is so endearing and it's amazing to see how she's still so connected to her time there. Rachel's gesture of bringing joy and recognition to Auntie Marilyn after all these years really showcases the deep bonds that can form in such relationships. It's a poignant reminder of the sacrifices and the humanity of our domestic helpers. Thank you, CNA, for shedding light on these stories that often go untold. Here's to more episodes that celebrate these unsung heroes! ❤

She is still worried that she has nothing to give.. that’s the real Filipino spirit. Even when we have given everything. We are still worried we didnt give enough.. “But you given 21 years of your life” cant stop crying… 😭😭😭

"Auntie you have given me 21 years of your life." made me cry. Rachel's parents and Auntie Marlyn raised her well
“What can I give you?” - this sentence really made me teared up. Thanks CNA for this meaningful series!
I love these episodes of Finding Auntie. It's an intimate look at the relationship between Singapore and Philippines.
As a Filipino working abroad, I empathized with auntie's experience because it is similar to what I have been doing up to this point. Most Singaporean families are nice to their helper as they are looking after the employer's kid day and night.
She is a woman of integrity & dignity. It is very difficult to find domestic helpers like her.
With so much poverty in PH. These domestic helpers deserve more credit. They sacrifice their whole life to serve others and raising their children.
Thanks a million, to CNA for using their platform in featuring these kinds of beautiful heart-touching stories!!!!!!!!!!!
I love this series. That she said to auntie, “you let OUR dreams come true” was so meaningful. To all the aunties who sacrificed their own families and their own dreams - thank you for all you’ve done ❤
