    It was an amazing tractor. It would out perform anything equal I size and was cheap to run. I'd love to have another one!

    We used to have WD45 diesel, 6 cylinder, sweetest running motor ever.

    It has varied in horspower with who is running the dynamometer it seems, and also the weather. This time the horsepower was 50, which is the best it has done on a dyno, if you watch the operator he hand signs 5 and 0 before he starts showing the meter to people. This was late on Sunday afternoon after most people had left the show.

    have you ever had any trouble with the block cracking or heads warping? this is the second block i went through. im about ready to swap in a D19 engine. any suggestions. by the way nice restoration.

      I have heard this was common on the Buda 230 diesel which was also in Cockshutt 40 until AC bought Buda. When it was up and running the 45D could pull 4 bottoms in some soils. As a high school kid I did a lot of plowing With a 45D with a mounted 3 bottom.
