To αγαπημένο του ελληνικού κοινού δωδεκαμελές συγκρότημα των Pink Martini, επιστρέφει για μια ξεχωριστή συναυλία στο θέατρο Λυκαβηττού την Τετάρτη 11 Ιουλίου 2012.
Η συναυλία τους στο Λυκαβηττό είναι βασισμένη στις καλύτερες στιγμές της 18 χρονης -πλέον μουσικής τους διαδρομής (μια συλλογή από κλασικά τραγούδια που περιλαμβάνεται στην πρόσφατη παραγωγή τους «Retrospective» που κυκλοφορεί από τη Sony Music).
Οι Pink Martini δημιουργήθηκαν το 1994 από τον πιανίστα, απόφοιτο του Χάρβαρντ, Τόμας Λόντερντέιλ (Thomas Lauderdale), ως μια μικρή ορχήστρα τεσσάρων ατόμων με βάση το Πόρτλαντ του Όρεγκον. Το 1997 μπαίνει στο σχήμα η τραγουδίστρια Τσάϊνα Φόρμπς (China Forbes), η οποία είχε συνεργαστεί πολλές φορές στο παρελθόν με τον Λότερντειλ όντας συμφοιτητές στο Χάρβαρντ.
Το Μάρτιο του 2011 η τραγουδίστρια Στόρμ Λάρζ (Storm Large) ξεκίνησε τη συνεργασία της με τους Pink Martini . Και οι δύο τραγουδίστριες συνεχίζουν τη συνεργασία τους με τους Pink Martini.
Στην συναυλία των Pink Martini στον Λυκαβηττό την Τετάρτη 11 Ιουλίου θα τραγουδήσει η Στόρμ Λάρζ (Storm Large)
Οι Pink Martini κυκλοφόρησαν το πρώτο τους άλμπουμ «Sympatique» το 1997 σε δική τους παραγωγή, πουλώντας πάνω από 1,3 εκατομμύρια αντίγραφα παγκοσμίως. Την επόμενη χρονιά έκαναν το ντεμπούτο τους στην Ευρώπη, στο Φεστιβάλ των Καννών, συνοδευόμενοι από την Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Όρεγκον, όπου απέσπασαν διθυραμβικές κριτικές. Έκτοτε άρχισαν να περιοδεύουν με τεράστια επιτυχία σε διάφορες χώρες, όπως Γαλλία, Ισπανία, Βέλγιο, Ελλάδα, Τουρκία, Ταϊβάν, Λίβανο, όπου εμφανίζονταν είτε μόνοι τους, είτε συνοδευόμενοι από διάφορες ορχήστρες. Το 2004 το συγκρότημα κυκλοφόρησε το «Hang On Little Tomato», το 2007 το «Hey Eugene!». Το 2009 το «Splendor In The Grass» ενώ το 2010 οι Pink Martini κυκλοφόρησαν το «Joy To The World» ένα πολυεθνικό άλμπουμ που έλαβε διθυραμβικές κριτικές.
Το Φθινόπωρο του 2011 κυκλοφόρησαν δύο παραγωγές, το « A Retrospective», μια συλλογή απο τα πιο αγαπημένα τραγούδια της πολυετούς καριέρας τους και το « 1969» ένα άλμπουμ με συνεργασίες με τη θρυλική Ιαπωνέζα τραγουδίστρια Σαόρι Γιούκι (Saori Yuki).

Storm Large (born Susan Storm Large, June 25, 1969) is a singer, songwriter, actor, and author. She attracted national attention as a contestant on the CBS reality television show Rock Star: Supernova. For many years solely a rock artist, in recent years she has branched out into the theater and cabaret world. A resident of Portland, Oregon, she currently balances performing with her own band in venues around the country and touring with the Portland-based band Pink Martini.
