This was a great video, not only you provided some valuable insights but also the animations were beautiful and captivating enough to keep me hooked for an hour. Can't believe you put this much effort into a single video and haven't posted a lot more
I absolutely loved this video, but by far the most glaring problem was that occasionally the sound effects or music would be much louder than the average noise level of the rest of the vid. Which, at best, just meant I turned down the audio until the voiceover came back on. But at worst (46:53 to 47:01), my ears were being assaulted by my headphones, with absolutely no warning or time to react. With that said, this was an absolutely fascinating look at something I wasn't even aware of [I thought you could only rate entire shows on imdb, not individual episodes], the google earth animation stuff was great.
I constantly bring up the number of seasons shows have when talking with friends about favorite shows, nice to see all the data laid out in front of me. Excellent work.

@@zmoothly I will! On a sidenote, something that all my favorite shows have is rewatch value. I often find shorter shows more appealing because I love going back a second or third time with a new perspective, noticing things I might have overlooked the first time. For Obvious reasons it is much easier to do that with a shorter show. Examples include just the early seasons of The Simpsons, ATLA, and Cowboy Bebop. Even though two of those are under 70 episodes, (Cowboy Bebop only being 26), they are so well written that no matter how many times I rewatch I discover new things about the characters,world, themes, cinematography, acting etc. Guess what im trying to say is quality will always be better than quantity. Not to throw shade at longer shows though, I love Breaking Bad. I just think the more episodes there are, the less memorable each episode tends to be.

Regarding Attack on Titan, the manga it's based off ended recently and the ending was controversial to say the least. When the next season airs it may experience a Game of Thrones like drop off(well maybe not that dramatic). Anyway, great video so far.

Zach, this is fantastic stuff. You dad, Joe, shared it with me, and I am glad he did. There's a few shows I will have to check out. Also, just fantastic research overall. As one commenter suggested, it would be interesting to know more about the shows that were poorly rated but kept getting renewed anyway (maybe.... or maybe that's a very short list). Such a great job editing and presenting information. What did you use for graphic editing?
I like the video. At first I had my reservations because it's too close to a jon bois video but you are a good hang and make some good points. The only thing I don't like is the sound mixing. The music sometimes overpowers your voice (not all the time but it does) and also tends to do that thing TVs do that the voice is low but the rest is loud in movies. I don't think it's my headphones because they are Razer krakens (which are good enough even though they aren't audiophile headphones) and unlike my TV, movies sound good there. Also: The simpsons 1-10 seasons are also the only ones I LEGALLY bought. AND Windows+V keeps your clipboard.
I told you! The longest segment, and deservedly so. Fascinating what they achieved, and how far it fell from grace. I hope it was everything you hoped it would be.
Hey, given that it was an episode just designated to save money, and all shot in one location, it was pretty good for what it was. However, given the extremes of quality that show seemed to endlessly provide, fly trailed pretty far behind in my opinion. To each their own! :)
Excellent video! Just finished it, here is some constructive criticism that really is more nitpicking than anything. It's a great video, especially if it's only your first. I just wish that you mentioned Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which is the lowest viewed show that kept on getting renewed because of the CW Execs enjoying it enough to keep on renewing it (mostly bc I really enjoy the show). Also I think it would be interesting to see the disparity in votes (if any) in streaming services dumping all the episodes at once (like Netflix) or weekly releases (like Disney Plus). Maybe the differences in genre and intended audiences? I do understand that this is an hour long video - I just wanted to see more of it lol. As for the editing: I think you have a great style. My only suggestion is that the panning should be a little faster to keep up with the fast pace you have. Maybe headlines as you switch from topics? Other than that - this is just a wishlist to an already outstanding 1 hour video. Great first video! Hit that notification bell because I'm interested in seeing what happens next. These constructive criticisms were basically just nitpicks at best. Hope your next video is great (really do hope you make more, I love being there in the beginning before a channel takes off)

Season 7 of game of thrones was just as nonsensical as 8 it just had better moments of spectacle and people were willing to give it the benefit of the doubt as it was setting up the ending. 6 also broke a lot of the shows own rules but did it for awesome moments which is more forgivable
I've heard a lot of complaints about season 7, too. I've always found that odd. I never really noticed anything wrong there, but it seems I might be a (minority?) Maybe season 8 was just so jarring I finally woke up like the sheeple I am. I loved season 7 too, personally.
