The Last F5 Tornado in Michigan

  • The April 3, 1956 Hudsonville/Standale Tornado that killed 17 people and injured 300. This is the only known color movie footage of the tornado and was taken from just north of Lake Michigan Drive northwest of Grand Rapids. This is the earliest known film footage of a tornado suction vortex, which can be seen forming on the west (left) side of the main tornado funnel.     I live in hudsonville, Ever since we have built back up our little town and thriving, I live exactly were the tornado went through
