The Huntsman was one of my first Victorinox SAK’s. Still got my original from the late 80’s and yeah no parcel hook. Got a Recruit around the same time and a Swisschamp. Carried the Huntsman a lot back then and it’s still going strong. Have also got a newer version…. Mind you that’s a few years old now. Gonna have to get some aftermarket scales and try a bit of modding, although I’ll leave my first Huntsman as is. I remember seeing you had some nice micarta scales, also from Etsy if I remember correctly. Those scales look nice too…. Another good one mate…. Cheers 👊🏻
Great video brother, I now just throw a sak in my pocket alongside a nice traditional which is new for me as you know they are just so handy to have at hand 👊
I'm a big fan of Victorinox knives. The Fieldmaster and it's corkscrew-toting twin the Huntsman are my favorite patterns from them, one of those two knives is always in my backpack depending on what I'm doing that day. The scales on yours look amazing, buddy! Cheers!
Brother Martin 🫂 A super, cool & informative video 👌 I have the same scales, in black & green! 😉 I enjoyed the embedded slide-show - awesome! 🔥 Incidentally, #sakaday can take place on any day, not just Saturday, that's TK 😉 Appreciate the 'Shout Out', thanks for taking part, and have a great weekend, buddy 🍻 ATB Gus 👍
Great looking huntsman!!! I love those scales and the pocket clip would definitely make it more EDC friendly. We had some clips that we 3d printed that hooked in the key ring that worked out really well for a while, but they’re not very robust. I may look into a set of these, I think id like it on my Explorer. Thanks for sharing brother, have a great weekend!!!
I have the Fieldmaster, been tempted to swap out the scales on it for the Micarta ones I have sitting waiting to go on something. You might have just reignited that plan 🤣
Those micarta ones are class. I'm definitely going to get some more of these minus the clip. Some decent ones on aliexpress I keep eying up 😂. Cheers Stu 👊
Hi, that's a lovely looking SAK. I've been thinking of buying one. Max budget of £100 at the most. My son has a few i bought him when he was in the scouts. Almost 15 years ago. So old. ish. Thanks Dave.
Cheers, Tim. I'm thinking about picking up that RRR one arm razor you showed recently. It will be my first RRR. It looks cool and like the fact it's the first one. Cheers brother 👊
@@SteelCityKnives You’ll have to get that one on the secondary market unless some distributor in the UK happens to have one by chance. Not easy to find. They’re all good though. Two of the newer ones that I really like are the Patriarch and Hump Back Jack.
Are there bolts washers & nuts holding The clip or are they screws. I really like those scales the clip sells them for me Thanks for showing them Martin
I never wanted a multi tool/blade Victorinox how ever I now have ordered the Compact because I wanted a knife with scissors, the classic SD is just to small and unfortunately Victorinox don't include a scissors with less other tools than the Compact, at least not that I can find also I prefer Alox models and the Pioneer X is a bit pricey for me, I got the Compact at a discount. Onwards and upwards to the thousand subscriptions my friend. 😁

I love putting the scales on them, Sean. Tarts them up a bit 😂
Yours sounds cool 😎
Cheers Sean 👊

Cheers, mate. I'll send some pictures over today of some recent pick-ups. 👊

Hi David 👋
Your favourite...it has got everything, tbf. Hope you're good brother 👊

I haven't got an explorer yet. But the magnifying glass would be good for tand stamps 😂. Those 3D prints sound cool! 👊

That set up looks slick, Steely. I like the look of those clips…. maybe I can carry a bigger SAK……
Cheers Brenny 👋 👊
A great SAK. Those scales are bad ass! That wood looks beautiful too.
Great video brother!
I love wood 😂
I'm getting some more of these. Do you want me to send you some when I post the I-XL? Clip or no clip? 👊
@@SteelCityKnives 👀What? :O
Great video Steely!! The Huntsman is one of my favourites. The saw cuts well beyond it's size!!!
Cheers, MB! 👊
The huntsman has definitely grown on me.
@@SteelCityKnives I have the Hercules on way to me - which is like a huntsman on steroids. Can’t wait to get my hands on it!
My hookless 1990s "Woodsman" is my bag carry. Its too big for EDC pocket carry but really great for hiking and camping in the woods.
Couldn't agree more, mate 👊 👍
Hope you are doing good, mate. Love your videos!
All good here, brother. Good day with the kids. I nearly forgot to post the videos😂. Work tomorrow, though🙃.

Dave, you have the best name I've seen 🤣😂🤣😂....
Mid life knife crisis! Brilliant 😂
@@SteelCityKnives Hi mate, did you get my message saying this is David from One Man & His Dub? This is my new Channel.
@Mid-Knife-Crisis-rc5by I probably did, but I'm terrible, mate. I'll check it out, brother 👊
Love those scales!

@TimsSchoolOfFish We did have it at moonraker. Still in stock new. Just gone out of stock. I blame you, Tim 🤣😂🤣 good review, brother!!

Oof!
Sorry mate

These scales have an interference fit with some retaining parts on the liners. It is very easy to fit. I use a vice for mine.

You can't go wrong with a compact! One of their most popular models. It's always good to hear from you, mate! Hope you are all good? 👊
@@SteelCityKnives I have had a cold that really takes some shaking off, otherwise okay friend. 😁
