I used to work nightshifts...always loved listening to the 5am start up jingles R1 played...Back in the day when it was a decent station to listen to.
This was all part of the build up to R1 in the 80s, hearing much of the whole jingles package. The vibe in the studio must have been buzzing.
I once got up at 5am to tape the startup jingles to cassette. Great memories of Radio 1 in the 80s.

An alternate version of this start up montage used Tim Smith's name in place of Roger Scott's name, but was only used for a short time though.
