⛔️⚠️ It’s important to mention the many dangers which are present in lift motor rooms. They are not environments for the inexperienced, and one mistake could be the last thing you do. There are exposed terminals with voltages of up to 415 volts. If you touch them, they WILL kill you. Please do not put yourself into this dangerous environment without proper authorisation. ⛔️⚠️
Yeah. It's sad, because with a few gradual mods, like replacing sections of the electromechanical logic that failed with their solidstate counterparts, for example, would make the lift controllers serviceable virtually forever. Not only that, but an aftermarket lift VF drive could also be fitted to provide greater ride comfort, still without major changes to the original design.

I love these first generation Express Lifts they are my favorite lifts in the entire world
Same here! :-)
Classic single speed quality, and the express lifts quality that outlived the British empire 😂
Beautiful 💚💚💚💚💚
Simplistic in design, full of character! Sucks that many of these had problems here hence most were replaced under 20 or even 10 years
