I absolutely live for Evergrey. They have a fantastic catalog with depth, atmosphere and raw power. While I adore this song, it may be the safest I've heard from them. Floor also sings a song with them called Disconnect where her voice is used like an instrument. I promise you'll have chills
Fun thing - Nightwish and Evergrey were both on a Metal Cruise last week, so they got to play this *properly*. I love it when that works out! 🤘😎👍
FYI Floor was pregnant during the recording of this song.... And Hannes ( her husband) was the drummer of Evergrey until he joined Sabaton in 2014

Floor was pregnant and Hannes was with the Evergrey in 2013. I Love Tom's voice and his side project is called Silent Skies. He was on an episode of Floor Finds. He got his degree between tours. Tom had to take over for the other singer so he had to learn to sing. If you look closely I think you can see The Freya bump

A little info: Floor's husband (Hannes van Dahl is the ex drummer of Evergrey)
The singer is also friends with Floor and was a guest on her channel's "Floor Finds". The topic was depression. With which the singer has to fight hard.
I also have this song in my playlist. Great song, but for me it definitely has two points of criticism. Firstly, I want more Floor for the length of the song and secondly, I found the section with the guitar solo inappropriate and superfluous. I rarely say that in rock, that a guitar solo is not necessary. It just didn't fit with the rest. At least not in that way.
And if this section were not there, there would not be the criticism with Floor and it would at least be a great radio hit.
Just my opinion.

i would recomend a swedish band by the name of Nestor if you want some 80:s feels
It’s strange to me that people has to mention that she was pregnant. It’s quite normal to work while you are pregnant. Maternity leave starts about month before the due date. Also helps when person is as tall as Floor - baby has space to grow.
Evergrey is an awesome band. They have a big catalog so there is lots to dive into. Lol. Pretty much pick any song and it’s good. 🤘🏻
