At the end of this video your showing the black stain result I'm looking for. Are you using White Concrete Countertop Mix for this and are your techniques any different then shown?
Can this be used on natural stone? I'm buying a fireplace hearth that is a stone called Blue Jay from a quarry in AZ and would like it to be darker than it is.
Our stains and tints are water based and neutralizing is not needed. We also carry indoor/outdoor sealers. Check out our full instructional video on our website to see a job from beginning to end. www.concretecountertopsolutions.com/articles/videos3
The script must have had alot difficult pictures for you to sound out there big guy, but I will say I was impressed that you saw it though. Let me guess... Class of 01-02 valedictorian runner-up southern Boston short bus academy? Regardless inspiring work🤙🌠🌠
We have colored concrete countertops that are sealed. One of the countertops is green and the other is black. Do you think it is possible to stain both of them gray? They don't have to match perfectly. Also, what would we use to remove the sealant?
@@ZCounterform1 I should have been clearer that the concrete is not stained. The color was added to the concrete (I think a powder) when they were made off-site. The guy had a vibrating table that settled the concrete and removed any bubbles. But there is a sealant on it and I can strip that off, but the concrete is colored all the way through (2.5" countertop) so there is no way to sand down to bare concrete. I am going to ask for a sample from the countertop guy and test it. He isn't sure it will work either. I'm happy to report back to you if you want the info.
Yes, we would always recommend sealing any decorative concrete project. We have a few good sealer options for outdoors. I would take a look at our SiAcryl 14 - concretecountertopsolutions.com/collections/sealers-and-polish/products/z-siacryl-14-sealer
@@ZCounterform1 the last thing i want to worry about is repainting cement after a few years. I use oxyde but can t obtain that beautiful colouring of yours. If you add the colour while the concrete it is wet, it is not better?
Concrete trying to look like marble or granite has convinced me to tint the mix for a consistent color.
I absolutely love this technique thank you so much for your video. I’ve been watching videos for days. I will definitely be doing this.
I'd love more videos of this on different projects....
are your UV stains food safe? I like the color options better for the UV stain. Thank you in advance for the answer

Is there a powder form of. Concrete stain that’s ready to be mix with water to spray. Something that can be in a small bag or packet?

Awesome job. But how long do you wait until you neutralize the acid? How would you seal it if its for and outside or inside ?
Thanks

Did you dry sand or wet sand prior to applying the stain?
How long should you wait after pouring the concrete countertop before applying stain?
Do you know if this product is available in South Africa?
Can you do this if the counters are 4-5 yrs old?

If this is going to be in direct sunlight on an outdoor BBQ island, do I need to seal it?

Can I stain a bar top that I already used charcoal coloring in?
Can you remove stain and restart if you aren't satisfied?
You can, but it isn't an easy process. You will have to do some deep sanding in order to remove any stain.
So what's the final steps to get it to be shiny like in the final product since the stain drys very dull?
If outdoors you can seal with a UV resistant sealer like our Siacryl 14 and top with our Counter Shine Polish for the high gloss look.
Is this stain and technique good for 3D and vertical objects too? ..like Japanese stone/concrete lanterns?
Yes, it sure is as long as the concrete is poured and not a type of overlay.
Did you have to acid etch the concrete before staining
Is that colour going to last?

Very nice video! Well done sir
Very nice
What type of concrete did you use for the pour?
we used out White Concrete Countertop Mix seen here- www.concretecountertopsolutions.com/product/white-countertop-mix-2
Badass. Just bad ass.
Definitely don't look like real stone.
Also definitely to dark.
Good informative video, but there's no need for the annoying music
He sounds like robert De niro. Really
A bit overboard on the stain
Water base stains suck. Use acid based stains! This guys method needs gallons and gallons of different stains.
😂
