I mean not to sound really rude or anything (obviously will come off that way) but generally if you're getting an otttb from an honest seller they will tell you all of the vices, but let's be realistic there are alot of horse people out there who sell a dangerous horse as a tame one. Stuff like drugging them and a bunch of awful stuff like that, even lying about age, skills, ect so it is always important to try out the horse or handle them a few times before getting them. Obviously in this scenario they seem reputable, but it's always good to be vigilant.
All I'm saying is when buying a horse, just because you see a kid riding them at the sales, doesn't mean they aren't drugged. Ya know, best not to make a mistake and buy an abused horse when you only want a green one
Ya, good point. I'm gonna pin this, since this was a game I said it for the ease, but this is good info for real life, where there are dangerous sellers :)
I think it's fine getting an otttb (my profile is one, or at least his nose) but them being sold as a 'safe' horse that some inexperienced rider might get is awful and it's either going to get the rider hurt or the horse shot/injured. Green on green makes red.
It's a sad reality and these horses don't deserve it, it's not their fault they're 'wastage', and it's certainly not their fault some people are shifty. And they certainly don't deserve the outcomes
Yes, of course that's completely agreeable. In this case the rider was experienced but the horse wasn't which is fine, but for real life it's totally important that a green rider and horse don't go with eachother XD
I'm not exactly talking about this scenario xD. It's seems quite safe with a responsible selling (it adopting) process. More so much making sure that people don't go, oh that's a race horse, their pretty I want one. Oh it bucked me off, it's obviously the horse fault... That happens to much, but thanks for understanding that I'm not hating on you, more so much the horse dealers
I got my Thoroughbred, a past polo horse, her name was Lily. She was addressed as a "calm, beginner mare" with no thoroughbred quirks. Bought her for $2,500nzd, got her home, and put her in a paddock with all necessary needs.
Day later, tried riding her. Absolute madman, bucking, bolting, general freaking etc. Wasn't in heat, fenced outdoor arena, we and some horse experts who grazed at our property had no clue what was wrong with her. She was not a calm beginner horse. We still have her, she's calming down, but boy were we tricked.
Okay am I the only one that wishes sso would add some bit less bridles or at least some halters? I just don't really enjoy seeing all bridles having to have bits. Sorry if this seems rude just wanted to see what people thought.

Plates This is a horse game after all. Digital horses can’t be abused. Also, there is no actual bit inside the bridle lol. So, ideally it is bitless

Looks like you found Jorvik Stables, otherwise me and a friends stable, we decided to buy the place and enjoy helping out there along with our club, I remember seeing the horse around the place. He always looked sad so I'm glad that you decided to take him in! Johanna the groom of our stable was taking care of him, she loves helping out with the newer/temporary horses. Wow! Looks like you found Jorvik Stables, me and my club (we are realistic) have made Jorvik Stables our main area, we decided to buy the place and we absolutely love it! I am planning on using this account for Star Stable but I have some videos I want to edit first, do you have any tips for owning a Stable? We wanted the area because of the town, the huge paddocks, the arena, and the Cross Country arena. Also how are you filming the GoPro and zooming in parts of the video?
