Man when I go to L.A. I wear an orange safety vest and muslim kufi 💯 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 YOU BURNT OUT FOO 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Orange is not a good color to wear out there.
I don’t think that orange vest will be a good thang son
They’ll probably think you’re a Hoover 🤣
Orange is probably the worst color to wear.
We fully support this young brother Quan and his grind.
We also support Holdin Court for keeping it 💯
I always wanted to go to LA but nah forget it because i like wearing different ball caps and i wanna enjoy myself without being press.
STAY OUT OF CHICAGO ALSO BECAUSE THEY TRIP ON HAT'S ALSO!
@Jerry-xs1uz that's why I love being in the South I can wear whatever tf I wanna wear plus carry a concealed weapon on me at all times.
@@Jerry-xs1uzlol no they don’t. I mean back in the days it was always which side you tilted your hat deciphers where you from
@@vernonjohnsonjr7389 You just keep yourself to the mayonnaise areas because there are hoods in the south that will trip on you and they have concealed weapons too.
@@Toastybees where in the south because i live in the south and nobody press me or told me to take my hat off and i keep a glock on me just in case a nigga wants to trip but then again i dont have any reason to go to those bad areas and if i have to go like i said i keep my shit on me.
This is ridiculous. Just stop killing brothers.
I’m from Memphis and took a trip to LA and we had a good time and we’re safe because we didn’t go places that wasn’t safe it just using your intelligence! Don’t be scared just use your common sense 🤷🏾♂️
No doubt LA is huge city and tourists attraction but you know when you're in the trenches over here when there's ghetto birds(LAPD Helicopter) and dogs barking everywhere you probably were in Hollywood or Santa Monica
Exactly
It's the same thing with Memphis just stay in yo lane and be able to recognize danger😂
BE SCARED BY USING YOUR COMMON SENSE
Watts Homie Quan keeps my chest hurting in laughter! This was a great interview. Thank you @Holding Court Podcast for having him on!
I like this kids just wish his brother didn’t do that 🌈 shit but Quan is a real down to earth brother
Growing up LA was wild asf, I thought the not wearing certain hats, and not saying certain words was just normal life, it wasn’t until I moved out of the Los that I realized not every place was like that, it was crazy but still good times
ATLANTA trying to mimic CALI politics and gone get in BIG TROUBLE
I am from LA. Lot of this has mellowed out these days. Unless you are in a really bad area, you stand out or run into some ignorant MF, it’s not as crazy as it used to be. Just be cool, respectful. The “community liaison” is a great idea for out of town people 😂😂.
LA used to have 2500 homicides a year..of course ain't nowhere that bad no more
With “logic” like this is why these communities don’t ever prosper.
@@mco_jont that's part of it.
You ever see a private school or a big company in the hood?
But I bet you see a bunch of liquor stores in the hood. Why?
Nah, I'll pass, y'all can keep California, I'll stay in Florida 🌴🌴

Houston & New York Yankees or Anything New York..
All baseball hats are a NoNo
You’ll get pressed for any hat damn near not everywhere but if you run into that one dude that’s trippen best believe he gon press his line fasho fasho
Why not the Houston Astros????

Humble yourself when visiting other places. Plain and simple. Most times your demeanor will help you out of a jam.
Shout out to my Watts niqqas ! ✊🏾
Absolutely. Just be chill and genuine. Do not act hard or extra. I’ve bumped into foos rolling deep as fuck and twacked out at 3 in the morning; and being chill has always been how I kept the situation from getting hot.
I’m from LA and this is how u go around LA. First off you have to act like you are BROKE. NO fly ass car, NO stand out jewelry, NO going to designer stores SHOPPING spending a grip bkuz it’s somebody always WATCHING, and they will get when it’s least expected by following u home or waiting until u get out your car, and don’t live in a nice house, bkuz it’s subject to get FLOCKED.
As far as the hats go 98% of the hats mean something but that part is not that bad like 20yrs ago.
And going 2 the swap meets it’s still tricky but if u know all BLOODS go to 10th Ave in the Bity Stones and everybody else go to the Slauson swap meet. Don’t get me wrong BLOODS be up in there too but it’s way safer 2 go 2 10th Ave. Be safe out there and know your surroundings
Like Nina Boy Said Keep a Chop Stick I'm from Sacramento It ain't Like LA & Mad Doggin Will Result Into Getting Pressed I See that alot Where I'm from that's a Red Flag & Recording Someone Fighting Will Get You Beat Up & Pointing at a Candlelight Set Up Will Get Your Car Shot at I Heard It Happen Before Out there
I live like that already lol
Was the Compton Swap Meet the worst one?? What was considered the worst swap meet??
Waiting on this one Big Court love what you got going on over here at Holding Court.
Wattshomiequan is RIGHT about everything he is saying.
The safest hat to wear in LA, is a All Blacc LA hat with the white Letters
I just wore nike hats…a white nike hat
I ain’t wearing a baseball hat at all. I’ll wear a bass pro hat before I wear that Shìt

I’m from Boston. Of course back then whenever I traveled a B fitted was an essential accessory. My friend from back home whom I stayed with had a partner of his come pick us to go out. Bro was from Inglewood if I’m not mistaken. After we dapped he said that I may wanna leave the hat behind. Straight Scooby Doo face from me. He then broke everything down. I was hatless the rest of my stay.
Lol hatless
Here in the Chi it aint what hat you wear but how you wear it(Turned right or left) however back in the 90s we did rock a few hats that had meanings for example: Gds wore Raiders gear because Raiders stood for (Ruthless Ass Insane Deciple Everywhere Running Shit),Boston gear that stood for (Brothers Of The Struggle Taking Over The Nation),Houston Astros because of the cracked 5 point star logo plus any Duke Blue Devil or Depaul Blue Demon hat....now under the 5 the Stones use to rock Stl Cardinals hats because the STL stood for Stone Love, the ViceLord's and Latin Kings wore any yellow/gold hat (Pirates,Steelers etc) thats just an example however that was the 90's shit done changed here💯
Everything thing u said is correct Vice Lords we rock the Pittsburgh pirates hats and Steelers , and Vanderbilt because it has the big V and 5 point star.
@@Mario_pinsyeah joe my best friend conservative so I know I'm 7414 but yeah I know💯be safe gang
I feel that, but here in Los Angeles those hats represent the area and Gang you actually from. The Houston Astros just may be the hat that get you stepped to in damn near every area in LA. Obviously the S-hat & NY hat the same. If you in ANY SECTION of the Hoovers across Figueroa wit an S hat or NY hat..you will be stepped to IMMEDIATELY! Vice versa
I see a lot of hoods in and outside of Chicago that have GD opps wearin the Seattle Mariners hat with the rakes upside down I had to fight some niggas livin out here in Seattle out here cuz supposedly they got GDs here none of these Niggas folk I’m actually GD frm Brooklyn
Wudup Joe.
Got luv for the Chi niggaz moving around out here
Not from LA but lived near Fremont high school for a while. Just avoid going anywhere out there. You wanna go to Hollywood. Beaches or theme parks than do it. Avoid the clown places where you gotta worry about what your hat say. Them clowns won’t be happy until they run them all out and the neighborhoods completely gentrified. A lot places I avoided and I had a firearm on me almost all the time. I remember going to some African art event they had at the watts towers and one of the most peaceful days I had. That’s how it should be out there
Went to Slauson and Crenshaw a month after Niiip got killed, two minutes in got tripped on by some crips and all for saying “nah I’m good” homie came baq around and said nah you ain’t. Then proceeded to ask me where I was from, I had to let ‘em know there’s different politics for Mexicans but at that moment wasn’t nothing gonna save me. I finished my brew and bounced
Lmaooo Cuh I know you ain’t lying just from how you said he doubled bacc 😂😂😂😂😂😂
sacrifice you for the tribe and to get a stripe
I’m mean it makes sense tho, a month after nip passes and almost every hood and they momma up in the 60’s set- tensions are high people are drinking on edge, you lucky no one split your wig and left you an unsolved mystery 😂😂😂 count your blessings
Without a doubt, the Houston Astros H hat gotta be the most dangerous hat to wear in LA.
A lot of ppl are focusing on the hats which is very true but the other thing he brought up was the certain words too. There’s really so many everyday words that are used to diss certain hoods.
Rice Krispies, Sissies, Bubble gums, etc...
I'm old now but I always wore whatever I want. Mostly blue. I never carried myself confrontational and always addressed brothers with love. No problems ever. Even in the 90's when I was in my 20's.
You can go anywhere it’s just about how you carry yourself
You can but prob not the best choice
Uhhh...no you can't. Unless you're an old yt lady or something. You might think so but some people don't care if you're respectful or tough, they will pack you out.
Go head, find out yourself.... you never did, thats why you're alive
🫡 Big Salute to Watts Homie for the info. I’m an Angels fan from Florida and I have caps in a few different colors. 🙏🏿 Holding Court, you just gained a new subscriber.
Dodger Blue LA hat can get you sweated back in the day.
Still will
I am originally from San Diego and then moved up to Fresno, but I always knew I had to move different when it came to LA. Even when I would drive through LA and get gas I always made sure I didn't stick out and when I was in LA with family or the homies we always made sure we kept our head on a swivel. Mostly because we know all it takes is to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and you can get pressed etc....
😅😅😅😅😅😅 e we you 😅ee see yes see ree😅
I feel you but I don’t think it’s that easy to get pressed as long as your wearing your hat and being yourself
I remember wearing a Milwaukee brewers hat at the Crenshaw mall. The looks I got 😅
Really? Maybe you should have told them to F off 😂. Did they give you like as in I’m a press you
Ima Laker fan from Sac but when I’m in LA I wear a Sacramento Kings hat or gear so they ain’t even gotta play the guessing game wit me😂
Why not wear a lakers hat? Nobody trips on laker gear. LA loves the lakers
Crazy that black ppl like that in Cali bro and proud of it
Exactly but they won't make Taylor Swift or any white musician check in

i love wattshomiequan cause i was born and raised and still living in watts ive been living there since i was 2 and im 16 crazy ,
Born and raised in Compton all dayz. CVLx3! I think the worst hat in all of LA/LA County maybe the Houston Astros. Grooves got enemies in every section of LA it seems. Naybahoods as well, but hella allies as well.
120 Raymond's wore the KC hat back in the 80s...stitched a straight line at the top of the K with white thread to make it RC...
That Young Soldierz CD was hard!! That “ Straight Gangsta Mack”!was dope
Translation: don't go to anyone's hood acting silly. No the layout of the land use common sense. It should get to a point where you get to mature for goofy shit like this. Mugs need to travel nationwide and worldwide then their perspective on life might (keyword might) change. I have been in many hoods from San Diego to Boston back to Seattle to Miami. Every hood in a sense is exactly the same even the ones overseas. I don't need to travel to go to the hood. I can see them at home. Evolution is always the key. Love and respect to you all.

The SF Giants hat in the valley is for Varrio San Fer
I went to Cali on a greyhound. I had on a red Houston Rockets hat and the CK in the hat was the biggest letters. Had a stop in Texas and a dude told me thar I'm going to have to take that off once I got out there. I was going to San Bernadino and then Riverside from there. He said that was crip area. Later on in the trip I met a dude from Oakland and I was telling him what the dude told me about my hat. That fool said F them. That's your hat. You bought it and you ain't from no gang ish so rock your ish. I was already leaning that way anyway so I was like F it. When we finally got there, I saw an In and Out Burger not far from the bus station. I decided to walk to the burger spot with my hat on just to see if anyone would tell me anything. Nothing. A dude in a wheelchair asked me for a cigarette but that was it. I went got my burger (In and Out overrated) and went back to the bus station. That's when I started to see a lot of dudes in the area rocking red. That was the only time I wore non neutral colors while I was out there. I figure they won't just kill me without question. They'll at least ask where I'm from first and once they hear me talk they'll know I'm not from there. I ended up meeting some cool dudes out there. I met some weirdos too.
Be thankful you weren't in the Crenshaw District....I ASSURE YOU, you woukd have been stepped to immediately.
Sounds like what they told Master P. They heard his country ass accent and said he was safe lol
The King cap with the SK on it means something up North for sure.
