I know this is a 10 year old thread but i just watched this documentary of the Franco Prussian war with this soundtrack playing in the back (had to mess with the vollumes level to get the balance right but it turned out epic) ua-cam.com/video/vWZz-lHCu-M/v-deo.html
This plays in Gundam Battle Operation 2 when Zeonic Front MS are present on the field. It's one of a few selected songs that may trigger during a Battle. Lt.Agar's theme, Dobday Rescue, & Defend Odessa are a few others that may Trigger. Each Ace MS Unit has his/her own personal Theme that may or may not trigger during an OP. Shin Matsunaga's Theme, EXAM gundams Theme etc. More soundtracks will be added when the Jaburo Map becomes Available Next Year.
Pity Code Fairy is just Battle Operation Singleplayer and I despise the Battle Operation's gameplay. Kind of wish they'd go back to something like Crossfire, Senki 0081 or Rise From Ashes.
I'll have to respectfully disagree, I really love BO's gameplay as it is near perfect representation of the way the mechs moved around in the original anime. Not fast enough to be "super robot", not slow enough to be "realistic". The way mechs move around in BO reminds me of Federation Vs. Zeon. I guess what I'm trying to say is that BO's gameplay just happens to hit right for me.
@@kenjen9861 It's far from perfect in fact I'd call it Mech Warrior slow. Gundam anime are not slow. Sluggish perhaps at times but never really slow. Gundam Battle Operations mechs are literally like the poor defenseless Zaku Cannon from Gundam Unicorn being so weighed down by armor on a weak frame it can barely move. That isn't normal in the Gundam universe. GBO isn't normal, isn't a good representation of how mobile mobile suits were. Best example I can point out, the slowest general purpose mobile suit of the One Year War was the Zaku I, and it had a ground running speed of a 120km/h. A Dom would be well over 300+. As much as some morons in the franchise think, Mecha in Gundam are not really slow and rarely sluggish. Even in 08th MS Team which has the slowest/most sluggish main mechs in the franchise, the Suits do not move as sluggish//slow as you see in GBO. Heck Gundam 0081 on the PS3 kind of represents that by making the Ground GM and Ground Gundams slower than other Gundams and GMs but you can explain that way because they're grossly over armored and fat for Federation Mobile Suits. So no GBO is a terrible representation of Gundam itself, even One Year War Gundam. Heck Gundam Senki 0081 did an amazing job with Dom Type Mobile Suits. You actually felt like you were riding on a cushion of air as it would have momentum and even coast and drift. Put a few speed upgrades on it and you feel like you're the Tri-Stars from OG Gundam. It's a lot of fun. BTW I consider Gundam Senki 0081 for the PS3 to be the last really good Gundam game, and even it had problems. But you had a wide range of suits to use, and they were heavily customizable when it came to equipment, a little too customizable as you could literally go Zeonic Front and give Zaku II's Beam Rifles if you upgraded their Generators enough to use a high powered beam rifle. Making it surprisingly one of the few games besides Zeonic Front which a Zaku II or Dom can be seen using a Beam Rifle. I also absolutely love the attention to detail as well, like the MS-06FS Zaku Garma Custom has 4x 20mm head Vulcans, and it actually fires 4 projectiles which makes for some fun visuals by volume of projectiles flying when being used. Ironically I think it's the same staff that made Target in Sight, and Gundam Battle Operations, it's the game that was made inbetween the two. Talk about a massive downgrade going from 0081 to Battle Operation. To be honest I put Gundam 0081 up there with Zeonic Front and Rise from Ashes among the best Gundam video games that have since been made.
Our soldiers were pitted against a formidable enemy, each came from a different background, each fought for a different personal reason and many lost their lives. The principality of Zeon was defeated however as long as there are comrades who continue to fight for their beliefs kindled by their love for those on the homefront our own battle will likely never end.
(A very belated) thanks for all of the comments, everyone! I never really got to watch the original Gundam (didn't get into anime early on), but this game really piqued my interest in it (I actually started with Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and went to Gundam SEED afterwards). So, this game got me into the Universal Century Gundam series. But this song still remains as one of my favorite to this day. Once again, thanks for the comments everyone. :)
A Pretty Hard Game once you get to the New York Fenrir Fangs, The Trojan Horse, and Odessa Missions Gundam is OP and Scary, they really make you feel the Fear that Zeon Pilots had for Whitebase and it's MS.
This game is great. Too bad it didn't get enough popularity/profitability to spawn a franchise. The One Year War has a lot to work with as far as story and technology goes. The possibilities to expand on this game are endless.
this gives me so much memories I played this when I was 10 or even 8 it was hard but managedto do it my god its bin to long this is what got me into gundam and now going back to it in 2016 I played it on the playstation 2 it's an old piece of junk now that doesn't work but even nlw it will still lie in memorie rip gundam zeonic front with the trojen horse mission it was hard as shit I though you were able to kill the gjn cannon and the white mobile suit with the tank gun cannon but nl you had to gathere info on them that was bull crap what happend to terminate the target hu lol enjoy it while you can guy this will soon fade away
Mildred Hernandez We all tried to Kill Them, if you try to kill the MS they don't lose HP past a Certain point and will CounterAttack with a Unique Tackle/Punch Move During the Mission Whitebase itself can one shot you, Gundam can also One Shot you and Amuro Counts his Takedowns, You can "Sneak" in as a Solo Unit and That's how most people get an S Rank... But it's Hell to Scan Guncannon, Guntank, Gundam, and Whitebase at a Safe Distance. As soon as they spot you or one of the Dummy Decoys is destroyed, or Hover/Tank units detect you Bright, Hayato, Kai, Sayla, and Mirai will comment on your Approach. You have Only about a Minute before The White Devil itself spawns in to Chase you down. It's Beam Can Tear a chunk off Gouf Units but you might survive if you equipped Beam Deflection Armor as an Optional Attachment. It decreases the Beam Damage. Char's MS in the Simulation Missions is Able to do a Tackle/Counter Maneuver against Enemy MS when they attempt Melee combat. Big Tray was a Hard Thing to fight in the first Playthrough but destroying Big Tray twice is an Achievement of its own. Using Dom's to cheese through the Big Tray and Trojan Horse Recons spoils the Challenge during second play
This game is Legendary, I can only pray. Hope. Dream. That one day it will be masterfully restored. One day be brought back to life. One day be available to all to truly enjoy it. One day to own it. Forever. And allow mods and level creation! Sieg Zeon.
Don’t care if no one played it. This was a genuinely good gundam game. It’s what made me prefer Zeon. Their suits are just so much more badass.
Was and still my only favourite gundam game
100000% same.
Whenever I tend to think of war settings and describing thier backstory, this is the theme that tends to come to mind usuaully.
Me too, I'm glad I'm not the only one.
This is my 40k prep theme xD

Even the zeonic front opening cinamatic theme plays too
Can confirm heard this play the other day when me and my friend sortied in the desert map with "dom" type units
Could have sworn I heard it at some point in MSGO as well.
Zeonic Front reference all over the new Code Fairy game! Love seeing the cameos of characters from this game that I played when I was a child!
