Spectrum - Go To Sleep (1994)

- One of Pete Kember's finest moments in my opinion yet sadly one of his hardest recordings to hear. Only released on the "Undo The Taboo" EP in 1994 on Silvertone Records and never repressed, re-released or appeared on any compilations to the best of my knowledge.
That was my final year of uncompromised happiness. I became a Father and husband that next year. I loved parenthood, hated marriage.
Now, after some pieces being shuffled, some removed, I now enjoy being both a Parent, but also a Husband.
one of the very few songs to shake me to the core... pure bliss
Might be the greatest song of all time
it is.
PURE BEAUTY AND ETHEREAL MAGIC FROM OUR ADMIRED SONIC BOOM, the Genius of Spacemen 3 and E.A.R.
cheers from North Lima, Perú

Thanks so much for the upload! I've never heard this fantastic song until now!!!
Probably my favourite song by Sonic Boom / Spacemen 3 / Spectrum / Spiritualised .. and I love all of them. Tragic that I have to come to UA-cam to get any of Sonic’s early stuff. Thanks so much for posting this here. Now time to bliss out to this one more time ...
This is just Peter Kimber (Sonic Boom / Spectrum) I found his first album in eBay (like 10 yrs ago) I had to order it from Europe
RIP Natty Brooker

What a great song, I came here via an interview I read with Guto Price of the SFAs. So, is this song not available to buy or download then? Shame.
Time for me to get into Spectrum, Spaceman 3 et al.
goodnight Libby!
Goodnight, Phil!
(He'd my husband.)
'94, esistenzialismo del Novantaquattro ?° Ma *vatt'a durmì* °!°
he is not a millionaire but a lot more famous -and more well paid- than Sonic Boom obviously
Brian Eno sound
also bgeil, aber wen g ein müd end!234
Jason early Spiritualized stuff is awesome but then he lost almost everything imo, the same story of everyone: "money rules"
Spectrum and E.A.R. and also Alpha Stone are superb!!!!!
I know bro. I got tired of the boring stuff Jason has been putting out in the last decade so then I discovered Spectrum, now there's no turning back
Danny, Spectrum rules for sure! Be sure and get on that E.A.R. tip, too. "Phenomena 256" is probably my personal fave E.A.R., but they're all good, you can't go wrong. Meanwhile, time for me to learn what Alpha Stone is. 😎
I also love The Darkside albums. All That Noise is one of my all time favorites.
anyone know who this band actually is ??
It was Pete Kember's post-Spacemen 3 band. Line up for this EP was Pete Kember, Scott Riley and Alf Hardy. Pete Bain played bass on it, too.
Well stollen from Galaxie 500, Peter.
i hope you are not being serious though sadly i doubt it..
Galaxie 500 is just spacemen 3 without the fuzz pedals
