Interest only won't do .. better u go for PYQs , go through syllabus, and few subjects especially like calculus, abstract algebra, if u think u can complete and okay with all it ,then go for it ... Else it may be a headache for u ... I have math optional and I am MSc in maths ... So u also have to remember one thing , many people from IITs or people like me are ur competitor ... So only chose it if u r confident about it after going through the above mentioned things ...u will get PDFs of few books .. go through it
Also ... If u didn't have maths in +2 then don't go for it ... If it was ,then check by these
