They were just on different sides of the stage. If you actually watch their old performances, you'll see that danny didn't always go to Ben when singing that verse
Ian Freitas 99.9% he would go over even if he was on the other side of the stage I'm not bashing Danny or anything with my comment I'm just saying its sad as If you look at any preferences where they playing this song during or after 2013 which there aren't many but they are there Danny doesn't do it anyomore

I think there might have been something more between the guys because you could see Danny not puttinf much effort into their older songs, and not having that much fun and not going over to Ben through that verse. They simply watch james the drummer, and wait for his first stike, drummers usually raises their arms to tell the band they are about to play, or starts with a timed constant bass usually hitting the bass about 8 times before starting, as a count down.
