Solidified by the fact that he chose to hug Jack instead of killing him when he could have tied the match. In the end, he crushed his malice by showing him true love in his dying moments as a human being just as he said he would. RIP Hercules.
the end also makes it seem like the encounter changed or is going to change Jack as a person. I kinda like that. they are not only showing us the dark side of humanity and how Jack got there but also the possibility of redemption

My top 5 characters in this series until this moment in the manga are 5-Qin shin Huang 4-Poseidon 3-Nikola Tesla 2-Sasaki Kojiro 1-Jack the Ripper. So for me this episode was just fantastic
