Also when stalking i believe they can only detect you by directly seeing you so you can stalk them them sneak up on them for a 1 hit down. (i could be wrong here but this is my understanding from the wiki)

if the survivor looks at you whilst you're stalking, it brings you out of exposing them. he's a sneaky killer - gotta stay hidden so they cant see you
