    Ear Drum is the Hottest Cd this year. One of the realest MC's my Dude Talib. I cant wait for Mos-Def to drop his.

    This is what hip-hop is all about. People don't even know that hip-hop is an acronym. H-I-P stands for Humans In Poverty, H-O-P stands for Helping Other People. For MCs to keep that concept alive today is a rare thing

    Talib Kweli represents real hiphop. I listen to alot of hiphop and I feel like a lot of underground artist rap about real topic and conscience things, not like the mainstream artists who have sold their souls for money & fame. Look at Common, Mos def, Hi-Tek, Dilated Peoples, ect. I know they are blowing up now but they rap about some realistic things. I'm going to be watching Talib May 5th at Johnson & Wales in Providence, RI its $5 at the door and starts at 6pm I think SHOW UP!

    its sad a song like this prolly wouldn't get much radio spins, cuz this is a deep song. "lets put more depth in our verses...", i couldn't agree more kweli. this guy is brilliant lyrically. and i'm sad to say i JUST started listening to him, like 5 days ago :P

    It's really nice to see a hip hop music video that does not degrade women as objects. A lot of mainstream music videos seem to have 20 half naked girls for some reason...

  • @VOCforlife
    @VOCforlife 17 років тому

    more talib less mainstream rap...its good to see that talib is still staying the same...so many could learn from this, half of why tupac was better than most rappers nowadays was because he was one of the only rappers who had his own voice and clearly a strong belief that he needed to help his people...talib is one of the only famous rappers that ive ever seen with this trait

  • @Candiesx3
    @Candiesx3 17 років тому +1

    Lupe is sick. If you want to listen to rap, listen to Royce da 5'9. However, Common, Talib and Lupe are just as amazing. Royce just has that...'umph' to him that makes his music sound so...GOOD.

    As to the Nas vs. Kweli debate..as legendary as Nas is, I just can't picture him flowing to the depth that Kweli does. I mean check out this line from the song...
    "less misogyny, and less curses, let's put more depth in our verses till they left on the surface."
    And that's just ONE example of the many many uplifting lines that Kweli spits.
