My father in law is detected as metastatic Lung cancer through PET-CT scan..his age is 71 yrs. In last 1 month he is suffering from severe pain in right side lower back (L2 spine) and femur bone in right thigh..since last week he can not be able to sit or walk and now bedridden since .. 2 biopsies were done on Dec 14 and Dec 21..but the reports are inconclusive and no malignancy found..but PET -CT scan shows metastasis I.e. stage 4..Doctor is suggesting 1 more biopsy and on that basis they will start IMRT or 3DCRT radiation therapy..can you please met me know whether we can prolong his life by 7-10 yrs..(he is having diabetes, BP, and undergone bypass surgery in 2013, and having stents in both sides of neck)
Difficult to say as it is a complex case. If multiple biopsies have failed we can do liquid biopsy (See our video on biopsy topic). Treatment is possible. Contact me via details in video description
