  • It seems like the AC outlets are wired wrong. When the Anker is plugged into AC power it show correct, but once it is unplugged it shows HOT/Neutral reversed.

    Mine came with the live & neutral reversed (in the UK). I raised a support call and dropped it off to their repair facility in Cardiff. The following day I had it back and the sockets were correct.

    The unit I purchased one month ago had reverse polarity. I received a replacement unit 2 weeks ago. My replacement unit passed all testing with a receptacle tester and a multimeter. Here's what you should see with your tester. With the unit not plugged into the wall outlet and the inverter button on you should get an open ground signal because it is not grounded (middle light with your tester). With the unit plugged into a wall outlet and the inverter button on you should get correct polarity. What you are seeing does not look right. Reach out to Anker.

    I just received my 767 back from Anker today. Happy to report all problems are fixed. Grounding issues all fixed. Expect no internal ground when not plugged into shore😮😮 power this is normal. If using without 😊shore power you could add a neutral ground jumper just remove it if using shore power or you might Tripp a GFCI breaker if shore power has one.

    @jayb3518 Рік тому

    I would say try running the Airconditioner off of the power station with a Ground-to-Neutral bonding plug plugged into one of the other outlets, but hell... the question is, what side is actually the neutral when the unit is not plugged into the wall. I guess you could figure it out pretty easily with a meter. maybe the circuit tester is unreliable when you don't have ground and neutral bonded anywhere in the circuit. I don't know how the wall AC/charging connection works, if it just bypasses the inverter and the load is running straight off the wall and that's the reason or you are getting a ground neutral bond through your house wiring.

    • @TesSheen
      @TesSheen  Рік тому

      I tried with a bonding plug, with the bonding plug my outlet tester will read “correct” but still when running anything with a compressor the Anker outputs erratic wattage.

    Today I received my replacement 767 because when my first unit was plugged into AC the hot and neutrals were reversed. My tester showed the defect.
    My replacement unit has the opposite issue! Now when plugged into AC, all outlets test fine. When I run it on battery the AC receptacles test "hot and neutral reversed!" This is a NEW unit, but must be old stock because I need to update the firmware to version 1.7. It has a label that read NEW on the box.
