one night patroling to the line the radio plays this song. i was in charge of a squad. i stop them imidiatlely and i dance a zeibekiko in front of the oposite country soldiers. they claped their hands and we left after that. i was punised after that but it worth it🤣🤣🤣🤣

I met Dimitris on a few occasions at a couple of beach cafes in the Greek town of Nafpaktos. He would vacation there because he married a girl from the area. He was very polite, quiet and unassuming. I am American born but lived in Greece during my youth, and spent many summers in Nafpaktos. Fond memories....

Mitrapanos died 7 years ago and I never got over it. He not only died relatively young, his death left a big void in Greek music soul! The Zebikeko will never be the same without him!

I went back to the town, Bepoia/ Veria near, Thess., last Xmas, 25 years after I was an EFL teacher there. I stood one night at the now shuttered, locked 'frontisthrio' (Language School), my employers' names still at the entrance button, wondering where the years, that youthful teaching/learning energy, had gone, feeling like a ghost, in but now no longer 'of ' the town. I saw only 4 People I knew from that time 25 years ago - most no doubt have sown themselves into the Greek Diaspora again. Great Music!Les mer Vis mindre
