I went back to the town, Bepoia/ Veria near, Thess., last Xmas, 25 years after I was an EFL teacher there. I stood one night at the now shuttered, locked 'frontisthrio' (Language School), my employers' names still at the entrance button, wondering where the years, that youthful teaching/learning energy, had gone, feeling like a ghost, in but now no longer 'of ' the town. I saw only 4 People I knew from that time 25 years ago - most no doubt have sown themselves into the Greek Diaspora again. Great Music!
