Thanks for this helpful tutorial. I am looking for away for new contacts who fill out a form to be able to pick products (In my case I'm using it as courses). Unfortunately, I'm just hitting brick walls as these subforms in the contacts modules are multi-lookup fields in a subform. If you have any suggestions please let me know :)
Hi Helene, Zoho Forms allows you to populate a subform if you create a subform inside the form and link it to your subform in the Contacts Module. Currently there is not a way to populate a lookup field in a subform, however there are some ways around this. 1. Use the native Zoho Forms to Zoho CRM Integration and pass through a unique value e.g. course code. You can then configure a custom function inside Zoho CRM that can lookup the course by the value passed and populate the lookup field. You will need to use 1 of the 10 available fields in the CRM subform. 2. If you are field limited you can use Zoho Flow and create a custom integration flow that receives the form data, then sends it to Zoho CRM to create/update the record and subform. Hope that helps.
Fantastic video! Is this working when you want to add new contacts to the same deal? I'm currently managing manually adding new role contact but not sure this is the way. Thanks!
Hi Lowgolf Travel, Thanks! Yes, you can use it for this. In the Zoho Forms integration settings you will need to configure the New Record Section to create the contact in Zoho CRM and check the 'Upsert Record' option so you don't create duplicate Contacts. Then under the Update Record section you can configure the 'Lookup Mapping' where you select Contact Name on the Deal and then configure the settings to select the contact by a unique value e.g. email / phone number etc.
@@squarelabs Ok thanks but.. Once I have created my form we will share with leader of the group, the LEADER in turn will forward it to the rest of the group, but how will the FORM know that these new contacts belong to the same DEAL? Will they all be saved in the DEAL as contact roles? THANKSSSSSS :)
You can configure the Zoho CRM advanced Field in Zoho Forms, and as long as you send the email from the CRM the link generated in the Email will be linked to the Deal that it originated from.
@@squarelabs Thanks! I have achieved to create this new contact on 'contacts' but not linked in a DEAL as another CONTACT ROLE. Sorry for but I'm frustrated with this. Is there any chance you to help us with this?
Thank you for the great video!👍
Thanks, Glad you liked it!
Sick! Thanks for this video.
Going deeper, I am looking to prefill a subform from the crm to a Zoho form
Thanks Yannick! Unfortunately subforms in Zoho Forms are not currently able to be pre-filled by any method at this stage.
Thank you!
