- Our final Christmas themed video for this year features a Great Central gala from 1992. The event was held in the week between Christmas and New Year and featured a lineup of (in order of appearance) 60532 Blue Peter, 34039 Boscastle, 35005 Canadian Pacific, and 4472 Flying Scotsman. Imagine the hype for a present day event that included double-heading of Flying Scotsman and Blue Peter, imagine too the ticket prices and access restrictions.
Great footage as always. Brilliant stuff!
Beautiful video thanks
That’s amazing
Excellent video Martyn. Great to see the double headers. Fantastic gala to remember. Hope you get to see some double headers next year. Hope you and your family a fantastic new year. Best wishes C&A
I’d settle for any kind of steam right now. I can’t believe it’s been fifteen months since we recorded anything. Here’s to 2021. A Happy New Year to you and yours.
Will 34039 Boscastle be mainline certified after its overhaul?
Very nice old footage from this interesting steam event. Amazing steam trains. Thumbs up! :)
Greetings

Some of this footage looks like it’s from the sixties. Mainly the double heading bit. With the West countries looking rather grimy.
