The government of this country has carried out a hellish massacre by shutting down the internet in Bangladesh for 6 days. 4 types of armed forces fired directly on the students, tear gas, acid. They mixed poison with tear gas. Many students were shot in the head. Students were shot at by helicopters in different parts of the country including Dhaka. The dead bodies have piled up in the streets of Oli. Destroying all the evidence now the government has launched the internet. Will the outside world still be silent? Will not help us to oust Hasina?
I'm a protester from University of Chittagong, i firmly believe that our government is an autocratic government otherwise how can any government allow police, paramilitary like Rab, BGB and then army personnel to attack on the public university campus? Not only them, the "students league" which is a government party's students organization, they've also attacked on us. We don't have mobile data access, this is just disgusting!

I am a British citizen currently stuck in Bangladesh :( came on summer holiday to visit family but ended up seeing such horrible things. The government switched off all access to internet/data so we got disconnected to the outside world fully to the point my friends and family back in U.K. thought I died. We just got some sort of wifi today but it’s super slow and we don’t have access to Facebook, Instagram & WhatsApp or any sort of social media. The world needs to wake up and help Bangladeshi people at risk 🙏🏽

As a Bangladeshi, I got the access to Internet after a week which is terrible. mass distraction, chaos, killing has happened for 2 over weeks and government is blaming the opposition party for all of it reached the climax, government shutdown the entire internet including the broadband connection. Although govt was compelled to change the *QUOTA LAW* after mass protest still the forceful
disconnection and international restriction are not acceptable by any means. For 5 days we are under the restriction of Armed force, military, economy, business, job, Office, educational institution are close since then. it's crazy situation here, they just provided some Limited access internet to some official business area of Dhaka city. So I am commenting behalf of Bangladeshi people, We are seek global attention

And we still don't have mobile network. I have limited connection (WiFi) in my room, that's why, I always use mobile data when I'm in my room, I haven't been able to use it since 16th July.

i am from bangladesh , today at 5.00 am they give us the internet . it was a horrible day of my life, on these days government were throwing sound grenade , tear gas ect by helicopter at night . police firing at us openly in day . we can not open Facebook right now they restricted it . many students died . After 1971 it may be the worst day in Bangladesh . i can not even explain . even army military's did not support us. every administrator suddenly attacking on students. BGB, ARMY , RAB , POLICE they were against us , they have guns . we were helpless.

I am a protester from Patuakhali Science and Technology University. The ongoing situation of our country is batshit insane right now. Presumably hundreds of students have been killed by our autocratic government over this protest in the past couple of weeks. Our government has deployed it's Police, Military, BGB and other task force like RAB and paramilitary too to repel this peaceful movement. Even the government deployed their 'Student league' against us which is not an official force of any kind. They are just government party's student organization. How can they put their hands on us is just beyond my wildest imagination. For the past 6 days we did not get any kind of internet access. Curfew is going on for a week now. I'm so hopeless for the upcoming future of ours.
The students started this movement since the beginning of July, neither the government nor the police stood against them, rather the police supported them in various ways. The government has become somewhat stricter since the violence started by infiltrating students among the students. These terrorists have burnt important offices of the government. Government TV buildings, Internet distribution data centers, Setu buildings, BRTA, Metrorail stations were burnt or destroyed. Which country's government will stand quietly without preventing this violence?

"Quota" is just one issue! There are hundreds of reasons for the students' recent outbursts.
