In the 2023 season, Oklahoma ranked 3rd in defensive turnovers and 7th in tackles for losses in the FBS. Oklahoma was 3rd in Big 12 rushing defense, only trailing Texas and Iowa State (31st overall run d in FBS). That's much better than being 122nd rushing defense in the country under Williams last season. Now Oklahoma had a bad pass defense, but that's where Addison Williams' background with DB's can help as Co-DC & focusing on the secondary/coverage.
