So tell me why are you not getting any stronger when you wield your weapons around?! Why is it that you're only getting luckier?! How do you get luckier when you fight?!
Oh, that'd be neat; growth rate influence the same way as EVs? So like, using a weapon increases the growth rate for the stat for the relevant damage type, (and using heavier weapons buffs Str growth further) hitting attacks raises Dex growth, dodging incoming attacks raises Spd growth, and taking damage raises HP/Def/Res growth (pick two of three depending on damage type and amount) Charm growth gets buffed with a successful Gambit. Luck can't get buffed, but each earned point in Luck increases growth rates for other stats by 1% (from a unit's base Luck) Move and Con can't be levelled naturally.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, I've had Sain cap strength, Kent cap speed, and Lowen cap defense all in the same playthrough. That was a fun one.
Wow, cool. Yeah, every time I use Sain he always caps his strength, it's great. Lowen does have great defensive stats I will give him that, the man just needs to double.
Man sometimes those dings are so satisfying and then i put my reading glasses and see its everything but speed and strength, realizing that there is no thing as true progress in this unforgiving world. Thanks fire emblem
While everyone associates Ingrid with this my Ingrid has always been a killing machine thanks to Luin, this is basically how Vanessa has been for me instead, on my first run I got her to level 10 before I benched her, you know what her Strength was? 5, she didn't get a single strength level up with the same Strength growth as Ingrid. In my current run she got the Energy Ring this time over Eirika. At least Ingrid gets growth modifiers.
Gabriel Lacarra Martinez 35% base, that's pretty low compared to other physical units, she gets class growth modifiers though so it's higher than what it seems, Vanessa has a flat 35%.
Yosef Santos That was my first play through, in this current one I'm gonna use her, I'll probably make her into a Falcon Knight though since Cormag and Tana are probably gonna be Wyvern Knights.

On my current playthrough of FE8, my Eirika has leveled strength on every level and I honestly think the pandemic happened just to balance out the world’s luck
And then you get those rare playthroughs where a character who has no business being your best unit just decide to level str spd skl every single level up. I'll never forget my Rebecca who one rounded Varja on hard mode
You're not wrong. However, that's by design. She is designed to be a glass cannon. Also, just give Lysithea Thyrsus, 4head. Then you get to play Sniper Elite.
I feel this on a spiritual level... The stance he has holding the "spear" is the same as Lorenz. I didn't know Lorenz was a mage boy, and I tried making him a cav. I've never seen such a strenght and speed screwed unit like my first Lorenz.
*This is why we restart chapters/normal fights* But for real, I'm pretty lenient in getting bad levels if they get at least 3 stats and one of them being Strength, Speed, or Dex. I think these stats are really important.
@@Sonicstriforce Well if you play any of the older games you'll be resetting all the time with that mentality. Constant 3+ stats per level up wouldn't become a thing until Awakening (aside from PoR and RD Bonus XP level ups, which always level 3 stats) Also I don't ever reset level ups, that feels TOO cheaty.
My Lugh whenever I play fe6 is always blessed with great magic, but magic is so good in that game with high accuracy and such that it’s not a huge problem if he misses some magic level ups. His speed on the other hand makes him one of my favorite units since his doubling consistency is great after very few levels (unless you get speed screwed obviously), also Aircalibur is very useful late game
Considering the spear and crown, I'm pretty sure that's meant to be Dimitri. No amount of probability in the world could give Dimitri a bad strength by endgame.
"it's a 50% growth!!" While waiting for Three Houses to release I was playing PoR. Ike decided to get 4 str in 21 levels (I never finished) like he was convinced he was a Myrmidion. Then I thought the curse transfered to 3H because it took Dimitri until lvl 11 to get a single point in str, but after that he started getting it pretty much every level thankfully.
Unlucky; Dimitri, at his base class of noble has a 60% growth rate, which means there was a .01% chance of that happening, you won the "fuck you lottery"!
This might have been me with Caspar. I recall literally leaving him in the corner of the map for an entire battle because he couldn’t kill anything but could take a ton of damage.
My favorite thing is when you fight a student at Gronder and she (*cough* Ingrid) is an absolute beast, but when you recruit her (*cough* Ingrid), she suddenly can’t kill anything.
That lance wielding stance reminded me of Lorenz. If I recall correctly, my Lorenz only got 3 points of speed leveling up. That's speed screwed if I've ever saw one
Damn... I got 1 stat leveling up... But I can't fall here! I must restart my entire save!
I do that religiously until everything goes my way. Every single level up for my Ingrid has involved getting strength.

I just hate that Chapter with a passion and I forgot that I'm not using an Armor Knight like at all and questioned myself how hard it is.
This video is basically me with dorcas in fe 7, he always gets mediocre level ups, so I just pump him with every stat booster available.
Why would you use dorcas anyway? Your clearly having bad experiences with him and he's a fairly crap unit anyway so why not just give those boosters to better units?
Since he's my favorite character, I know he's bad, but I really like him, even if he's not very good.
@@weskerhere fair enough. Personally he's just not fun to use for me so I've only given him a chance once and used him as a bench warmer ever since. He does have some good memes though.
Wesker here I’m playing Fe7 with a friend of mine who hasn’t played earlier than Awakening and our Dorcas is an absolute titan. His defenses are still mediocre but offensively he can one round almost anything besides bosses
@@KyuuStarr you got lucky with his growths , or you have him a shit ton of unvestment. Plenty of other units don't need as much investment to be good or don't need to get as lucky with level ups as forced does.

You get tougher when you take blows so you increase your defenses.
You get faster when you dodge attacks and run through battlefields so your speed increases.
So tell me why are you not getting any stronger when you wield your weapons around?!
Why is it that you're only getting luckier?! How do you get luckier when you fight?!
Oh, that'd be neat; growth rate influence the same way as EVs?
So like, using a weapon increases the growth rate for the stat for the relevant damage type, (and using heavier weapons buffs Str growth further) hitting attacks raises Dex growth, dodging incoming attacks raises Spd growth, and taking damage raises HP/Def/Res growth (pick two of three depending on damage type and amount)
Charm growth gets buffed with a successful Gambit.
Luck can't get buffed, but each earned point in Luck increases growth rates for other stats by 1% (from a unit's base Luck)
Move and Con can't be levelled naturally.
That’s actually kinda how leveling up works in Final Fantasy II.

Not sure where to say this but I'm mad, so here is as good as anywhere else. I subscribed to Bismix only like 2 weeks ago after being recommended the "Non-recruitable characters in a nutshell" video and have periodically watched videos since then. But I get on today and UA-cam HAS REMOVED MY SUBSCRIPTION! I was literally watching yesterday! How is this possible!?! Urghh! Regardless, keep up the funny vids Bismix, and I'm glad I discovered this underrated channel.
This reminds me of that one time I did a FE7 run, using only units mounted on horseback. And Lowen got 1 speed in 18 lvl ups, sure his growth is only 30% but still. Benched.
@@BeanBurritos33 Lowen's Speed base is actually pretty high, so he doesn't need to hit his growth that often to double slower enemies.
I agree plus you could put Ingrid in the Brigand class and pick up death blow.
@@cosmic_rider3 Ingrid has a strength problem? I didn't knew that. Huh maybe is because i always make her go brigand/WyvernRider/WyvernLord 🤣🤣🤣
Well then, promote her to Wyvern Knight. The Pierce skill will really help you. (Pierce activating=Level of unit, max 20)

Hey man, been watching since the old FEH guides. Glad to see that you are getting the views that you deserve. Your channel is a real gem in this community, and I would love to see you tackle some ironman/commentary runs of your favorite games. I know I'd watch
On my current playthrough of FE8, my Eirika has leveled strength on every level and I honestly think the pandemic happened just to balance out the world’s luck
So that's what the pool noodle was for lol
EmosewaMC 😆
And then you get those rare playthroughs where a character who has no business being your best unit just decide to level str spd skl every single level up. I'll never forget my Rebecca who one rounded Varja on hard mode
Lysithea 99% of the time. Can nuke almost any character in the game but if she’s so much as touched by a stick she’s dead 🤦♂️
You're not wrong. However, that's by design. She is designed to be a glass cannon.
Also, just give Lysithea Thyrsus, 4head. Then you get to play Sniper Elite.

I dont think you lyn and eliwood got screwed thats just how they are
On Chapter 13 My lvl 3 sage Lugh has 21 Mag and 14 Def... sometimes we get lucky
@@arceuskiller115 Eliwood has a chance to be decent, Lyn just has no strength ever.
Considering the spear and crown, I'm pretty sure that's meant to be Dimitri. No amount of probability in the world could give Dimitri a bad strength by endgame.
Even if he did have bad strength, you could still set him up for a crit vantage build and kill everything that isn't a monster before it attacks him.

I’m sorta feeling this in a current FE9 playthrough. Boyd has a 50% skill growth but has only gotten it three times in 15 levels. 🙃
