I was there and got a chance to meet Gatsby!! I saw Gatsby's head picture and ran directly towards the booth! I could see Gatsby was not too enjoyable, he must be exhausted because everyone wanted to take a picture with him. I feel lucky that I took a picture with him, and touched him! They were a lot of corgis, and they were all cute, but we only have one Gatsby! Thanks for your videos, always made me happy and turned things around.

Short story: Even though I was not able to go to Corgi Con, I rushed to purchase the new Gatsby Ramen tote as soon as it became available. This morning on my way in, and styling my Gatsby tote, I thought I saw a woman reach out and touch it. I turned and she smiled saying "Corgi on Fleek"? I said yes. She said "I didn’t know he had new stuff out" and I told her that he did Corgi Con and is now selling the remaining new merchandise. She pulled out her phone and started shopping! She then smiled at me and said thanks - "gotta get me a bag too"! 😊
Now that is a achievement,
Man. Now I felt bad for Gatsby. Only being able to have fun for alittle.

Being a vendor is sooo challenging. Don't give up! Here's an idea for next time: Select a special package only for Corgi-Con. PREPAY ONLY. Pickup at Corgi-Con ONLY. Must have receipt to pick up. Don't do sales on site. :D Have some free Gatsby stickers. This should be time for you and Gatsby to have fun, too! Recruit friends for merch pickup. No photo shoot. As awesome as this is, Gatsby needed more play time. haha I wish Porgnelius and I could have been there. Maybe next year. :D

Great Idea! Ryen could definitely do pre-orders and pick-ups (for those that aren't able to pick up, it shouldn't be too hard to refund it). And/or he could do limited edition corgi con items but not bring too much. Once he sells out, he can run around for the rest of the day! (but I wonder what the distinction between vendor and nonvendor is... do vendors have to rent the space? It would suck to pay rent but not sell the whole time.

Or maybe, he could make the booth where people browse and pay. They get a recipe and can pick up the actual item at the parking lot. This way he doesn't need to move so much merch.
The system would have to be sophisticated enough to know how much is left in stock though.
No sales on site sounds like a bad idea.

Wow no one can ever say that you don't work hard!!! I used to be a flea market dealer and trust me, it's a hard job!!! Sometimes I'd take my Corgi with me. He was good for business 😎 but he also took up room in the car and he was happier home in the air conditioning . He got a little grumpy too at times. They are not really into business lol.

Good point about the air-conditioning at home, maybe a crate with a fan he can retreat to in the booth, like a Corgi rest stop!

You could probably rent a area and sell tickets to meet you, but only have a limit on how many people you want. Just a thought lol
Of course Gatsby was late. All stars come late. I think you got your first year out of the way and to give up on a second year as a vendor after learning so much from the first is a shame. Hand out tickets for the line. That way you won't have to be worried about too many.
You can do online pre-order too alongside with the sales. Collection on the spot. Saves u some shipping fee.

I was there in line at Corgi Con! You can also do a handout list with pics and check mark boxes. Have people fill out what they want. Keep people updated what is sold out (use the merch poster [to cross out what is sold out or what sizes are gone] next to each line). Have people pay right before they reach the merch table. An easier method would be to have a Corgi on Fleek app, have people pay first, then pick it up at a particular time at Corgi Con.
This guy has everything on his channel, dogs(cute),aquarium (how to),food making (nice recipes),games(mainly nintendo),gym (workout help),restaurants (local),business (self employed),pokemon (well you are in to it)....need i say moar. one of the best channels to follow. Gaaah so much content. =)

Honestly Corgi con looks really fun.
It was! Even waiting in line, a random corgi shows up and you can pet it (I just went by myself). I saw two young siblings cuddling next to every corgi that comes close and the Corgis were happy to receive a lot of attention.
I think it was overwhelming because it was your first time as a vendor. But I know people that are vendors at “cons” of all types and they always say that their first time was hard, but after that it was worth it. Keep up your hard work and hugs to you and Gatsby!!!!

Seems like you just need a tune up of your efficiency. Cargo vans are not very expensive to rent and maybe hire a few assistants. The vendors should have been on the asphalt/concrete or they should have rented a walkway for the sand.

This was my first corgi con I missed in a few years, so glad to have met you last year. Now being in Texas is a little harder to go, but we now have our own cogi-mix we adopted and found a great cogi community in Austin! Love seeing the corgi con video
